Bloomberg...the Rajah of business news and rumors. Im not going to lie, at first glance I thought that was Vince and Linda not Bloomberg and his wife. I bet all old, obscenely wealthy white couples look the same to you, don't they? Honestly...they all do to me.

WWE is a feudal enterprise, and practices Agnatic-Cognatic primogeniture. Stephanie is married to Trips. When Vince abdicates/dies, it goes to Stephanie who becomes Queen Regnant. If she abdicates/dies, it goes to Triple H. If he abdicates/dies, it will probably go to Aurora Rose. Unless Steph has a male child, in which case it'll go to him. Please step away from Crusader Kings II with your hands in the air where I can see them. *Art Ruth has declared De Jure War for Internet References*

This all somehow ends with CM Punk owning the company.

I'm starting to wonder if there is something to these rumors about Vince considering selling. Seems like too much smoke over the last week for there not to be fire. I think the problem I have believing this is that wrestling is all Vince has. People usually sell their cooperation for a boatload of cash because A) They never have to work another day in their life if they choose or B) They will take that new money and invest it in another business/passion and make more money. I don't see how this applies to Vince. From the outsider view, it doesn't seem Vince has any other passions other than the WWE. What is he going to do with the extra money that he can't do now? And for my first part he could have easily just give control to Hunter/Steph of the day to day stuff as he sits on his yacht enjoying life while still receiving the profits from the company. He hasn't done that either so I honestly do think the WWE is the thing that keeps Vince alive now a day. If he ever sells it I truly have this morbid feeling that he'll pass away in less than a years time. I don't think anybody can make an offer that would make him sell his baby to an outsider. These are true points, but as the article mentions, Vince could be looking for a situation like Disney-Pixar where Vince still operates the company independently, but it is owned by a separate entity. One thing I wonder about is that Vince is a year younger than his father was when he died. He turns 69 in August. Maybe that's making him want to slow down a little bit. Just speculation on my part. But selling the company could allow him to make a boatload of money while still having the ability to run the show independently.

I'm having a hard time following the language of this article without at least a few references to casual wrestling lingo. Are they trying to imply that WWE is DOWN FOR THE COUNT to the highest bidder? Is Comcast going to SMACK DOWN the competition in a bidding war? Do the McMahons have the wrestling market in such a STRANGLEHOLD that it's more advantageous for an established conglomerate to buy out WWE than to directly compete from the ground up? Don't worry, MSG would be a good suitor because they "know the ropes". Far too subtle for my tastes though.

Stupid article, they didn't even mention the subtleties of WWE contract law. Where's Otunga when you need him?
You can't simply plan on buying WWE in the normal way, you never know when Shane may appear and sign the contract before you, Daniel Bryan may hijack your shows making your investment worthless, Mickey Mouse may be forced to compete in a ladder match for control of the company or it could all be a big swerve because The Shield feel like putting Comcast exec through the contract signing table.

I can imagine the aftermath of Vince selling the company to some German businessmen.
Vince and Kevin Dunn at a local tavern…
Vince: Watch me blend in. *Puts arm around CM Punk* Vince: Barkeep, some cheap domestic beer for me and my buddy here. Punk: I'm not your buddy, you greedy old reptile. Vince: Dunn, who is this saucy fellow? Dunn: CM Punk sir, recently terminated. Punk: I lost my job so you could have another $100 million! Does your money cheer you up when you're feeling blue? Vince: Yes. Punk: Bad example. Let me ask you this: Does your money ever hug you when you come home at night? Vince: Why, no Punk: And does it ever say ''I love you''? Vince: No, it doesn't. Punk: Nobody loves you, nobody loves you, you're old and you're ugly. Vince: Good heavens, Dunn. They're not afraid of me anymore! Ziggler: Hey, Vince, did you get that letter I sent? Vince: Letter? I don't recall-- Ziggler: That's because I forgot to stamp it! *steps on Vince's foot* Ryder: Ah, that bro slays me. Vince: That was no accident. Let's get out of here. Punk, Ziggler and Ryder: Na na nah nah, na na nah nah, wa-a-ave, good-bye! Vince: What good is money if you can't inspire terror in your fellow man? I've got to get my company back.

Disney would be my preferred buyer.

Disney buying the WWE........
Wow.
The concept of Disney buying the WWE, to me, is more insane that telling someone in June 2006 that Chris Benoit would murder his wife and son and then hang himself in exactly a year and expecting to be taken seriously.

Mark my words, Shane will one day run WWE in total control like Vince. Vince is way too smart to let Stephanie and HHH run the whole thing, he sees her shortcomings and knows HHH's over inflated ego are "bad for business".

I would be extremely sad if Vince sells the company.
