Damn FAN, y'all are slipping. I got it. Damn, I'm so used to seeing HHH with short hair now. Anyway, I'm sure Goldust immediately went on Twitter after the match and blocked Fandango.

I thought it was about the weird finisher.

I honestly didn't notice any of this until I went back and watched it after reading this thread.
Will nearly killing Goldust ruin the Fandango gimmick?

Can anyone pin point the issue?

Maybe Johnny Curtis also would put on a mask and wrestle as Sin Cara. That would explain the botches. If he points at something or someone next week I think we will know the answer This plus your signature makes me want to see the Sin Cara version of Iron Mike Sharpe.

Yeah that looked less like a heel turn for Golddust and more like a really pissed off Dustin trying to be calmed down by his brother. Either he was really angry or he was doing some great acting. And the weird part is that if someone could be that pretend-mad, it'd probably be Goldust, so it's hard to say.

Can anyone pin point the issue? There seem to be about two or three things it could have been. A botched suplex, a botched hurricanrana, or maybe just a strike that was a little too stiff.

Rewatched. It seems to me the spinning neck breaker was too tight which probably stung Goldust. Immediately afterwards he smacked the shit out of him.

It looks like a culmination of things, a knee drop bust him open then he held his ribs after hitting the turnbuckle hard, Curtis got underneath him for the hurricanrana and didn't take Goldust's finish correctly.

Said in the RAW thread, but as the match goes on Goldust hits Fandango with some damn stiff shots.

I thought Goldust died after the hurricanrana

I thought Fandango botched the rana, so Goldust sandbagged the suplex, and then Curtis sandbagged the finisher in retaliation.
Leaving Dustin furious.

I know he's pulled it off successfully since he came back but I always think Goldust looks way too heavy to be doing that kind of huricanrana off the turnbuckle.

Not to pour on Curtis, but Curtis looked way out of position on the rana. Usually, don't the perofrmers of the move give a quick, non-chalant wave as to say "get closer"? Just asking, because Goldy didn't seem like he did.

He was upset that Cody didn't make a move on Summer. COME ON CODY GROW UP AND BANG HER! That was another weird segment in the match. I think it was supposed to imply that Summer was slutty or that she was into Cody but to it seemed like an actor who didn't think the cameras were on being out of character and then suddenly realize that they were on screen.

They turned what would've been a great mini-feud for the Andre Royale into a potential Matt Hardy/Edge storyline where the two onscreen combatants are legit pissed at each other, and it gets worked into the kayfabe storyline somehow. So I'm not that pissed especially if it ends up with Cody having Summer Rae as a semi-permanent valet!

Let me preface this by saying I've only seen this match from the live audience and haven't rewatched it yet. As soon as I noticed the giant cut on Goldie's head, I immediately began to question if he'd even had the time to blade. He didn't. Nothing looked too out of place from where I was sitting, but if there was some kind of heat between them it certainly didn't come off to those not watching on TV.
