Man, these shows will be fun. TNA is either going to go balls out to please this crowd and not have them shit on the product or they'll be typical TNA and these crowds will make the ECW on Sci Fi crowd look like amateurs.

$300,000 might be worth more than the combined salary of the wrestlers for the three events put together unless they sign Vanilla Ice or Jonathan Taylor Thomas for the shows.
How small were the crowds for the Urban Wrestling Federation? Because that's what I'm feeling for that third show. The first and second ones will do fine, but the bloom is off the rose on the third show.
This stupid company. They should run the Manhatten Center upstairs and do a better crowd or even one of the much-cheaper wrestling venues in Long Island and get the same crowd.

The article does point out that this might be an attempt to impress Spike since they're NY based. They want to impress Spike? How about drawing some higher ratings? TNA draws better ratings then most of Spikes programming. But what they'd be aiming to do is to go to Spike and say "Look, we drew really well at the Hammerstein Ballroom and therefore we deserve more money" EDIT: So how much are general admittance tickets for a TNA taping? Because I did some math and at 50 bucks a person, they'd need to draw 2000 people a show to break even on the rental and production work.

Hmmm I may try and go to this...
I love the Hammerstein as a venue but never went there live for a wrestling show.

If this is what they need to do in order to impress Spike TV, we may as well call these events TNA: One Last Stand.

Maybe people should stop shitting on the TNA product and wait for these shows to actually happen first? No of course not, back to the usual eh? TNA could literally cure cancer and it wouldn't be enough for some of you people. Sad. Really sad.

Hmmm.. And not one of them will be worth watching.. Interesting. Do NOT come into the TNA section of the forum for the sole purpose of dumping on it and causing problems. This goes for everyone else in this thread too.

TNA has been very good lately. Hopefully this continues to the summer when they put these shows on.
Oh and I love how the amount of money for the rental has become such a story. I have never in my life seen so many MBA wrestling fans who understand and scrutinize the economics and books of a private company.

Does the Hammerstein Ballroom let people in with picture cameras now? If so I might have to go to it. At the last show I went to there though they were dicks about it (everyone just snuck their cameras in anyway), but I hate feeling like a criminal. I might have to check this out if they allow cameras.
