but I think the moment when he switched from NO! to YES! in order to summon up the courage and power against Ryback to prove he isn't the "weak link" of Hell No represented him finally embracing his role as a fan favorite. For whatever it's worth, he was doing "YES" first. It started during his heel phase when he was being obnoxious and glory-hogging. He started the "NO" thing when he saw fans emulating the YES. Right, he did not embrace the fans and himself YES!ing together up til that moment.

Nerd era. Does that make The Authority The Alpha Betas? And is The YES! Movement Lambda Lambda Lambda? Does that mean Daniel Bryan is going to rape Stephanie McMahon by putting on a Darth Vader mask and tricking her into thinking he is HHH?

Kind of ironic that he was a heel during "Yes!" and he was a face during "No!"

Boy the word 'era' gets thrown around easily these days, doesn't it?

To be fair, the Attitude 'Era' was only like 3 years, 5 tops, so it's not like it's been the strictest of definitions anyway.

Why does it have to be called the Nerd Era though? Why not the Daniel Bryan Era? I'm calling it The Year Of The(American) Dragon.

You might want to maybe hold off on being so cocky about that. When it comes to Bryan, every one of your prior predictions or statements have been disproven or eradicated by his popularity, and the office's desire to now build the entire 30th WrestleMania around him. Okay then I'll elaborate. John Cena is still more popular than Daniel Bryan, he overall still sells more merch, he has more fans, he will be back in big storylines soon enough. Just because he currently doesn't fit into the title picture or one of the special legends matches going into Mania doesn't mean that he all of a sudden isn't the guy anymore I hate to break it to you, but John Cena is almost 37, is at 13(or is it 14?) world championships, and has been on top almost a decade. And as already pointed out, he belongs more to the mid-late 2000's type of hero, compared to the current quirky, nerdy, and (as much as I don't like this word) "hipster" era. Daniel Bryan fits the current underdog hero so well. Plus, you can't argue against how over he is. The people love him because he's one of them. And that is vital in a time where everyone knows that wrestling is staged, because being a relatable "everyman" is so helpful in getting people to actually be invested in a guy, rather than just because he's a "good guy" or a face.
