Anyone else see this movie? I'm surprised I never hear it mentioned when talking about films that bombed. I guess it's because some have done so much worse and spent such a more extravagant amount of money. Still, spending $20 million on a movie's budget then grossing well under $1 million is pretty bad. Especially because the film itself isn't really that bad.
I can kind of get why it didn't do so hot though. After reading about it, it sounds like Christopher Mallick who the film's sympathetic protagonist is based on and who also was a producer on the film may be a grade A douchebag. Especially because he may have stolen funds from customers through his billing service just to make the film. Also, the movie tries to make him look like Henry Hill in Goodfellas where as the real Mallick probably doesn't even measure up to real life Henry Hill.
Still, not a bad movie it you seperate it from what it's based on. It kept my attention and even had arguably Kelsey Grammer's funniest scenes since Cheers.

I watched it a while back, but remember thinking it was ok. It did have some Scorsese-esque elements to it though.
pretty decent "too much, too fast" kind of flick.
