And if I don't know what's going on, all the people at my party are going to LAUGH at me. FAN, you gotta help me, summarize the previous year, hell I should probably look at the card.

Just tell them one of those depressing stories you always seem to dig up. That'll stop the laughing.
Seriously though, looking at the card would be a good place to start. Ask your questions based on that.

I'm not sure I understand how the main event is working, does DB essentially have to win twice on Sunday to become champ? I have no idea how Cena v Wyatt even came about. Brother said Punk pulled an Austin, he's not on the card either, is it a work?

Brother said Punk pulled an Austin, he's not on the card either, is it a work? 1. Yes. He has to beat Triple H to get into a triple threat match with champion Randy Orton and Rumble winner Batista. 2. Wyatt cost Cena championship matches at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. 3. Yes, Punk walked out without notice the night after the Rumble. I'm 99.9% certain that his leaving is not a work.

You haven't watched since Wrestlemania 29? Well here's a short recap of all you need to know:
-Ryback turned heel and got in a feud over Cena for the title, lost, then faded into irrelevancy in a team with Michael McGullicutty (now Curtis Axel).
-Ziggler won the World Title, got injured, and faded into irrelevancy, as Del Rio won the title back.
-Shield won tag titles and U.S. title, and kept being awesome.
-Fandango got over, then got hurt, and faded into irrelevancy.
-CM Punk returned as a face, feuded with Brock Lesnar for a month, then quit WWE after not doing anything important for 7 months.
-Daniel Bryan rose up to the top, as he beat John Cena for the title at Summerslam 2013, but both Triple H and Money in the Bank winner Randy Orton turned heel to screw him out of the title that very night. Basically, Orton has been champion since then and also won the WHC from John Cena (see a few points down) to become a new Undisputed Champion.
-The Wyatt Family debuted from NXT, and did essentially nothing for months.
-Damien Sandow won WHC Money in the Bank, tried to cash in on John Cena after he beat Del Rio for it in October, lost, and faded into irrelevancy.
-Cody Rhodes turned face, won the tag titles with Goldust, lost them to the New Age Outlaws, and faded into irrelevancy.
-Batista won the Royal Rumble, crowds hated it, so they turned him heel.
-Bray Wyatt cost Cena the title against Orton, setting up a WM match between the two.
-Shield turned face and are facing NAO and Kane (who unmasked and went corporate).
-Undertaker's facing Brock Lesnar for no real reason.
-Daniel Bryan faces Triple H at WM a la Austin vs. Vince and winner gets in Orton vs. Batista title match at WM.
-Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts, Scott Hall, Ultimate Warrior, and Mr. T will all be at Wrestlemania in some capacity.
This does not include months of god awful PPVs and horrible booking mistakes. If you must know what garbage went down, just shoehorn in Big Show somewhere he shouldn't be in one of the bullet points I listed.

Lol. Seriously! Sandow lost the MitB. That's. Damn shame. Kane is a part of the corporation now, which.....is....odd. Poor ziggles ain't even on the card, and the Mix has done nothing of note to even be placed in a footnote. Sounds like mah WWE to me. What of the Divas? Who's carrying the workload.

AJ set a new record as Divas champion in terms of length. The entire division seems to be built around the reality show Total Divas for some odd reason.

Okay, here's a crash course of facts you need to know: - Wade Barrett's new gimmick is that he can see through time and space, and so he never wrestles because he always knows whether he'll win and as such, what's the point? - CM Punk is doing a sasquatch gimmick. No-one knows if he's really in WWE or not, and if so, what his motivations are, but so far he has done no harm to anyone - coincidentally, Damien Sandow has started winning matches by using a 'lucky Punk foot' in a starred-up boot. He sometimes hits people with the boot. - Michael Cole has started wearing a hat and referring to himself as 'Jim Ross.' This has not been acknowledged on television by anyone. - Kevin Nash came out of retirement to job to himself, but wouldn't put himself over, and tore a quad trying to kick out of pinning himself. - Big Show now weighs 506lbs instead of 507lbs. - Arrested Development came back and wasn't as good as it used to be. - Bret Hart masturbated in the front row during the taping of the Christmas Raw, but this was edited out and now no-one believes me that it happened. - Randy Orton is now wearing a perfectly Randy Orton-shaped leather suit over his actual skin.
I think that's everything.

Ziggler and Miz are in the ANDRE THE GIANT MEMORIAL BATTLE ROYAL, the highest honor one could ever achieve. Seriously though they actually have built up the Battle Royal pretty well to the point where whoever wins it will feel like somewhat of an accomplishment, though there's no tangible reward like a title shot or anything. As far as the Divas, it's basically been AJ Lee holding the title all year, lately she just loses are ass off on TV and wins her title defenses, with Tamina as the Big Daddy Cool to her Heartbreak Kid.

Barrett now has a gimmick of showing up to deliver bad news that usually consists of him having giant leaps in logic, like saying the WWE Network will cause you to be homeless because you'll watch it so much your house will get overrun with rats and condemned. He really said that. No one ever actually takes issue with anything he says and it's been months since he's had a televised match.

Jerry Lawler had an issue, but Lawler replied with a really lousy comeback and it was forgotten.

You haven't watched since Wrestlemania 29? Well here's a short recap of all you need to know: -Cody Rhodes turned face, won the tag titles with Goldust, lost them to the New Age Outlaws, and faded into irrelevancy. . I think this part would be absolutely mind blowing for a fan who has no knowledge of the previous 12 months...."No, I was asking for a summary of 2013-14 not 1998-1999!"

Yeah I'd assume it was a new team who was so similar to NAO that people had just taken to referring to them by that name as a joke.

Not as mindblowing as telling someone in January 2011, "Yeah, the Royal Rumble in a couple of years will see Punk's over a year-long WWE title reign ended by The Rock. No one's really surprised or really cares that much."

I haven't watched in a month, but I think that my new strategy will be to only watch the PPVs.

Also Batista became only the 5th man to win multiple Royal Rumbles... and first person to win it from the same possible as his previous win
