The more I think about it, if they weren't going to have Bryan and Shield face Evolution and Kane for Extreme Rules I would much prefer him facing RVD to Kane in a face vs face match. Then save Bryan/Shield vs Evolution/Kane for another PPV

This show is shaping up to be severely underwhelming (Bryan vs Kane, lulz). I guess a clear picture of PPVs turned Special Events without the incentive to draw buyrates. I'll be there, in any case, so I hope it's a fun show nonetheless.

Is it going to be an Extreme Rules tradition to have a Cage Match? There's been one at every single event sans 2012.

Even though most people are shitting on Bryan vs Kane, I think it makes perfect sense. This is his first big PPV title defense and it should be against somebody he can absolutely obliterate in order to further legitimize him as a credible main eventing world champ. Given their long storied history, Kane is an obvious first choice. Also gives us a break from the damn Orton matches.

I'm actually thinking it'll be Evolution & Kane vs. The Shield & Daniel Bryan as the main event, with Daniel Bryan also defending the title earlier in the night to weaken him up for the main event (and for The Authority to try and get the title off of him). I don't think they'd have him defend against Kane, though, as they'd realistically want him fresh for their match. It's a shame they haven't turned Sheamus heel. He could challenge Bryan for the title or join Evolution and have Kane challenge Bryan for the title before the main event.

Just made official on Main Event, Paige is defending against Tamina.

Card is looking pretty good so far.
I hope they give Paige/Tamina some time on the card.
Also, I'm really hoping its not Bryan vs Kane for the WWE WHC. Kane's cool, but has done jack to earn a title shot, especially when his boss and The Douches With Attitudes are in line ahead of him.

Kane/D-Bry recently had a PPV-length match on Main Event.
Tamina is slow and plodding enough to kill Paige's heat.
...Damn, the card ain't looking too hot.

Bryan / Kane as a title match makes no sense at the moment anyway. Kane's been booked like an utter jobber for months, and if they're suddenly having Kane with the monster reawakened, it makes no sense for him to immediately lose a title match afterward, and they can't use a DQ as an out because it's Extreme Rules. So, the most logical route is to have him win the title, except it's f***ing Kane and nobody wants to see him with the title.

Or H being desperate to have anyone end Bryan's title run, even if it's the guy who's failed the Authority time and time again.

It's pretty bad that the thing I'm most looking forward to with this show right now is that AJ probably won't be there, lol. She's been tolerable for the last year but all the same what a joy to attend a show and not hear Light it Up.

Shield/Evolution is going to be great. I believe in Bryan, he can definitely get a good match out of Kane. Forgive me for bringing that guy who won the world title in the main event of WMXX with a crossface, but he defended the title against Kane on PPV, and I loved that match. Plus the possibility of Cesaro/Big E., and Cena/Wyatt, along with some tag team title fun, it should be a good show.

Given their long storied history, Kane is an obvious first choice. Also gives us a break from the damn Orton matches. Exactly, Bryan is not going to drop the belt so soon after the pomp and ceremony of Wrestlemania. So there is no need to book themselves into a corner by wasting a throwaway title shot on an established Main Eventer like Lesnar or Sheamus and thus blowing a potentially huge PPV match later on. Plus its nice to have a break from the clichéd "Rematch clause". I absolutely agree, Kane is the perfect choice for Bryans first title defence given their history and the fact it gets Bryan's title reign off to a clean and credible start.

So, like... Is this show going to have any gimmick matches beyond Cena / Bray?

Good. Bryan can bust out that kendo stick-enhanced YES! Lock and make Kane tap like a punk.

So, like... Is this show going to have any gimmick matches beyond Cena / Bray? I still think Shield/Evolution will get a stipulation, possibly mid-show. It'd just be such a sham to do that match under typical rules. A tornado tag street fight would be ideal.
