The past few weeks, I've seen the idea of Russo back writing TNA now to be fairly common around these parts. Has this been confirmed anywhere, or am I taking a long-running joke too seriously?
I also haven't watched tonight's episode of TNA impact, so if he showed up on screen, forgive me.

People keep saying Russo isn't back but in TNA but the current booking screams otherwise. You cannot tell me the best ideas that Matt Conway, Dave Lagana, Big John Gurbick, and whomever got the book this week are angles and matches from the Book of Russo. The rise of pole matches, sudden character alignments, and meaningless gimmick matches is not a coincidence. PWInsider(whom get their TNA news directly from sources there coughJeremyBorashcough) said he has consulting job with TNA. His "consulting" role is much bigger than most want to admit.

I can actually buy into Borash being the one behind the last few months. He worked quite a bit with Russo in the dying days of WCW.

No, no, no, no, no. Russo needs a filter for his ideas, he shouldn't be assisting someone with ideas that doesn't have a filter.

Hasn't been officially confirmed but I'm pretty sure the great Eric Young & Abyss angles have 'confirmed' Russo's return.

I figured EY would drop it back to Magnus at Sacrifice. That doesn't sound like the case unfortunately.

Perhaps the real John Gaburick was kidnapped shortly after joining TNA only to be replaced by a robotic double controlled remotely by Russo himself?

Perhaps the real John Gaburick was kidnapped shortly after joining TNA only to be replaced by a robotic double controlled remotely by Russo himself? Not swervy enough. While Russo was behind the kidnapping, the robot has actually been under the control of Dixie, and she cackles that her ideas are just so bad that Russo never noticed they weren't his. Or so it would seem, until Russo reveals that he'd kidnapped the robot double and stuck it on a hiding place on top of a pole, and the real Gaburick has been booking the whole time, but he's just as bad as the pair of them.

Eric Bischoff still being on payroll explains why Garett hasn't gotten fired yet. TNA got a long way to go make EY a credible champion. Hard to undo years of goofiness and jobbing. And he won for show synergy? I get that EY's show has higher ratings than Impact but he still acts like a goof on his show.

Russo and Bischoff have never really seen eye to eye as far as direction goes and not to mention the fact they're feeding these ideas to a guy who has only ever know WWE and only knows how to present these ideas in a WWE style makes for a VERY bad combination and of course an explanation as to why TNA has been the way it has been lately.
Big John is still the end point here though and everything we see on TV is his call, I think we need to back away from pointing fingers of blame at the consultants here because the man in charge is at the end of the day, the man in charge. 2012 was praised as one of the best years in TNA creatively and that was on Conway and Russo. If anything I say bring Russo and Bischoff back full time at the head of the creative charge, put Conway and Hemme under them and don't give them any power over any talent relations. At least they'll be able to present their vision, their way.
