It really is amazing how far Storm's stock has dropped... So he pretty much evolve into Chris Harris now.

Robbie E was just locked up to a multi year deal as well.
Of course, with how hard Robbie worked to get into TNA, and with how much Spike loves him, it's not a surprise

TNA couldn't let that much intensity run free. TNA is finally showing some responsibility. It would be like letting loose 10 Samoa Joes in an all you can eat buffet if TNA let Gunner's intensity run wild.

Have to lock down Gunner. That is like locking up Hulk Hogan in 1983. Well, breath easy, TNA just announced they've signed both Gunner AND Robbie E to a multi year deals.

They need to sign Samuel Shaw to a 5-year deal. The future belongs to him!

I don't think anybody in the known Universe thought Storm would go there. It's more like they were other options instead of staying in TNA, used in their "veteran wrestler purgatory". Except for Strom, there really isn't anywhere else to go. He wouldn't gel well at all in pretty much any of the major US indie companies. Maybe he could get a gig over in Japan but even then, that's not really likely. TNA is his only option. As DDP would say there is always some place to go! ... Storm got stale because he was a face for such a long time when he is a natural bad boy instead. They wanted to offset Roode's heel turn but somehow forgot about Storm down the road. Now he is in a complete reverse role because they want to push face Gunner so they made Storm nonsense heel for the same reasons Roode became heel. All the TNA's wrestlers that have prospect play heels and tweaners a lot better than they play pure faces. Bully or Angle are probably their best babyfaces they have if you don't include Hardy who fans simply refuse to boo no matter what he does, much like Sting. AJ Styles was their only hero babyface a la Bret Hart, the guy with right mind and right attitude that represents and care about people. That's exactly where Storm got stuck and couldn't get it onto next level and now we have the hate for him. Anderson is another weak face that will run dry very soon but he was forced to be one cause there are none. I'm surprised that everybody overlooked Doug Williams in a smartass babyface role, he is a much better like that than the heel has was portrayed for 95% of his TNA run. TNA lacks faces big time so they should really consider if they want to go with heel vs face concept or character vs character. They have been switching between the two for a very long time.

I'm just going to pretend that this was real even if it wasn't.

Spud has gone from someone that had me questioning why they'd even bother with to a highlight of the show. I'd love to see him get like a tag title run with ECIII or even X title run. He'll I'd say he'll never be World Champion but well, I thought the same about EY.

Spud is absolutely one of my favorite things in wrestling right now. There are better, there are more charismatic, but not many actually entertain me as much as him. And thats wild considering what I thought of him just a few months ago.

I love how they announce them like they're massive coups. I mean, let's look at it.
1. A tag team specialist who has been around since 2002 and has been getting worse since 2011. Not going to get any interest from the WWE and won't have any real options on the Indie circuit. Maybe a place in Japan but even then that's not super likely.
2. An improving brawler who has only just now started to put on good performances. Audience only kinda connects with him. Would be popular in Japan as he could be a good gaijiin but no real options in America. Could maybe get a look at from the WWE.
3. A chickenshit heel who is only notable in that he flat out tries to be as annoying as possible (and succeeds at it though). Probably wouldn't get a whole lot of interest on the Indie circuit without his regular gig in TNA.

I hope Storm does more movies like Death From Above. He was gloriously awful in that. I honestly think sometimes that I am disappointed when a wrestler doesn't absolutely suck in a movie, outside of guys like Rock who we know can deliver reasonably enough by now.

TNA has to do something to distract people from noticing that guys like Sabin and Bad Influence are leaving and the ones who are left behind are taking pay cuts.

At the end of the day, you can't build much from him. He's barely a wrestler.

With AJ Styles gone, Daniels gone, Kaz gone, Sabin gone, Sting gone and Aries pretty much gone I was worried about TNA for a little while there. Phew, thank goodness we have Robbie E, Rockstar Spud and Gunner. What a relief.
