At one point I remember Al Snow came out dressed as the Avatar and cut a promo... then took his head off and said something like "not again... this gimmick couldn't draw money if you shoved a magnet up my ass and dragged me threw fort knox" Yep. This was after the Bossman cooked/fed Al's dog Pepper to him. Al "went off the deep end" The Smackdown after the Raw you mentioned, a returning Bulldog beat the Bossman and then Al came running down to the ring dressed like Leif Cassidy Slightly off-topic anecdote: I distinctly remember being really hungry watching that SmackDown and thinking that pepper steak looked good, then with the reveal I shrugged my shoulders and said "I'd eat it" aloud and looked at my dog laying next to me. He looked at me, jumped off the couch and ran into the other room. I laughed so hard that I choked. I'll never forget that.

For instance. Sycho Sid was Sid Justice in 1991/92, but was he suppose to be the same character in WWF continuity? I always took things like this as that he basically was, but in a different style - kind of like the different interpretations of Batman, for instance. "Sycho" Sid Justice, maybe? when Shawn brought him out as his bodyguard he said "You could call him justice, you can call him vicious, you can call him psycho, but I call him Sid."

I was watching an Old School MSG yesterday.... Tugboat came out, but it sounded like they announced him with a last name. Sounded like Tugboat Thomas? Anyone know what that was about? Yeah. When he first started wrestling (before debuting on TV) he went by Tugboat Thomas. He had the name for a short time when he debuted, but they dropped it pretty quick. Coincidentally, Earthquake was known as Earthquake Evans.

Coincidentally, Earthquake was known as Earthquake Evans. He used that name in his tryout match in September 1989 but never on TV. With the exception of his first appearance (where he was just "John from West Virginia"), he was the Canadian Earthquake until sometime between the 1990 Rumble and WM VI.

And that horrible poop-brown outfit at the beginning of it...

Okay, answer me this regarding John Morrison. While I know that Johnny Nitro became John Morrison on ECW and he did have that promo when he changed the character, but when MNM debuted, was he actually acknowledged as the same Johnny Nitro who was Eric Bischoff's apprentice?

I'm positive that there were promos run about "Kona Crush" in Hawaii in the weeks before his in ring debut under the "Kona" banner where he said he had turned himself around. There were weeks & weeks of these Karate Kid knockoff promos that aired.

"Make a Difference" Fatu was acknowledged as being a Headshrinker, I think. On the topic, when they introduced Headshrinker Sionne, would Vince saying "he's a bit on the barbaric side" count?
Jean-Pierre LaFitte acknowledged in one of his intro vignettes that he was Quebecer Pierre.

And when the Mountie left and came back with CPO as the Quebecers, how was that explained? Obviously the same character with the outfit and song, but any rationale?

Like I said, his initial vignettes were introduced by calling him "The Mountie Jacques Rougeau". That was dropped soon, of course.
