For the first time in my life I can honestly say I don't give a f*** about the company I work for or my job in general. I just accepted a job offer from company that I can be proud to work for and I get a nice bump in pay, but the only issue is that I don't start until June 9th.
I've known since last week about the new job and I thought it wouldn't be too bad just biding my time until I can give my two weeks notice, but it has been brutal. I wish I could give my notice now, but I can't go a month without a pay check.
Any tips on staying engaged? I hate my coworkers, my schedule, and pretty much every aspect of this current job. I'm seriously becoming a shitty employee and a huge asshole and this isn't normal behavior for me.

Three weeks before the end of my final semester of college...was not a good time for this to happen.

The key is to just have a professional's pride in your work--no matter what it is. You can't really control how others interact with you, but you can control how you interact with other people.

If you don't like your job you don't strike, you just go in and do it really half-assed.

Agreed. I can honestly say I care not one iota about my current job, nor any of my previous jobs. I do, however, care a great deal about doing a good job in everything I do, which has led to promotions in every job I've ever had. As with everything you find tiresome or unpleasant, just find an aspect you can focus on and it'll be more bearable.

Are you kidding? It's my default mode. When my boyish good looks fade, I'm in trouble.

Happens all the time with me. I'll go periods each shift where I am essentially in "first-person" mode. As in it feels like I'm playing a first person video game. Like I'm looking through the eyes of someone else.

To me, I say it's not about how I feel about my job.. it's how I present I feel about the job. Really, you ask anyone there they'll say I'm one of the most dedicated, hard-working people there... but really, I feel like I slack a LOT, I just don't actually give a shit... but, I work like it's the most important thing in the world.

I work at a Sears that's in store closing mode. So, while I may go in every day and do my job as good as I always do, at the same time I really couldn't give two shits if a customer gets butt hurt at this point. After 13 years I'm ready to take my severance and bounce.

I hope to manage this well when I get my first nursing job and serve out the last two weeks of my current job (which I've got almost five years at, and really care about). Just sent out applications last week, so I guess it might be a little bit.

All the time. I usually get pissed off just for the fact that I have to go into my job yet another day doing pretty much the same routine. I realize pretty much any job I get I'd get tired of going in everyday so I don't have the motivation to look for another job at the moment. I just hate work in general so for me it's going to be extremely tough to find a job I'd actually enjoy doing.

I'm going through this right now as a matter of fact. I've hated my job with a passion since the middle of January.

I'm really bi-polar when it comes to my job.
Some days I hate everyone and plan what sort of promo I'll cut when I quit. Other days I'm really thankful I work for a pretty good company.

You don't start for another two months! Don't take everything for granted! A lot can happen in two months. Plus it's not wise to be shitty at your old job for the next two months because if word gets across they may think they made a mistake and withdraw the offer. Just don't get fired dude. If anything try to see if you can do temp work for two months if you can afford it or full time temp work for two months if you can.
That's what I did when I got hired from my current job. They didn't want me to start for two months so I was like f*** it need to do temp work for a month. But yeah I've been mentally burnt out of work badly last year. It was so bad I decided to quit and had enough money saved up to decide not to work for a year
