The lack of Bryan and the Shield, plus the Wyatts (or anything interesting for that matter probably hurts this week's show.

* Batista defeats Sheamus in a very physical match with the Batista Bomb to end SmackDown. Man, I'm starting to feel bad for Sheamus. He's basically a glorified midcard guy now, despite having all kinds of main-event potential. They booked him like crap and caused the fans to turn on him, and now he's taking all the consequences as if he botched as a performer. He's like Big Show, but without 15 years of random angles, pushes, heel/face turns, title wins and feuds.

Smackdown's transformation into MainEvent+Superstars is nearly complete. I wish they would just go all the way with it and let the lower tier guys have SmackDown as a platform to shine.

Waaaaaaait. Wait-wait-wait.
"Bordell Walker?" Is there any chance this is "Vordel Walker?" The one who because notorious on the internet for shooting on Rick Steiner in 2005?
You know, this guy?
(from pwinsider posted on a messageboard in May, 2005)
There was something of a shoot involving Rick Steiner and Vordell Walker at the Southern Championship Wrestling event this past weekend in Ocala, Florida. As it was explained to me by several who were at the event, Steiner seemed to come into the ring looking for a legitimate fight for reasons unknown. Backstage before the bout, he had taped up his fists in a way not to protect them while he worked a match but in a way to prepare them for a legitimate brawl. The match featured Steiner & Erick Stevens vs. Walker & Dustin Rhodes (substituting for Road Warrior Animal), with Steiner completely no selling all of Walker's offense. The two began fighting in what appeared to be a legitimate fight. At one point, Steiner tried to choke out Walker, who broke free and basically told Steiner it was on and to try again. Steiner backed off and he and Rhodes began brawling. Walker and Stevens both walked out of the match upset and went to the back. It ended up with Rhodes pinning Steiner in an impromptu singles bout. Stevens left the venue immediately without changing from his tights. There were no further incidents between Steiner and Walker that I have heard of. The show itself drew 350 and was headlined by Dusty Rhodes defeating Jerry Lawler with Raven, Luna Vachon, Larry Zbyszko, and The Rock N' Roll Express (billed as their final bout together given their recent heat) working the undercard.

it was Vordel Walker, but to be fair, Lillian was a little muffled then for some reason.

was there live... had a blast because come on, how could you not... that said, arguably the worst smackdown in ages. aaaaaaaages. had no clue until i arrived at the show (with a hundred cesaro section signs) that cesaro wouldn't be there, then found out that half the roster was heading out for an overseas tour... no bryan (expected), no cesaro, no shield, no wyatts, no cena, no ziggler, no ryder, no rhodes, no rybaxel, no usos, it was bleeeeeeeeeeeak. card speaks for itself. seeing paige live for the first time was awesome, same with emma, love 3mb, fan of big e, BO DALLAS DARK MATCH!, fandango, there was a good amount to dig, but yeah, incredibly phoned-in show and sorely missing most of the roster.
nashville was dead, too, which is a shame because every show i've been to the past couple years, it's louder every time... not so much tonight.
in summary,
main event: sheamus vs. batista
dark match main event: ... sheamus vs. batista
AHHHHHHHHH

Can't believe they actually booked Sheamus to lose by pinfall. That never happens!

I hope Evolution vs Shield gets some kind of gimmick to it
It looks like Bryan vs Kane for the title then. With the right gimmick and the fact that it is Bryan, he should be able to get a good match out of him if given time. Bryan retaining is sure as hell a given though, hopefully

Smackdown's transformation into MainEvent+Superstars is nearly complete. While Smackdown is nowhere what it used to be, the star power-less show is because most of the big name guys (Cena, Orton, The Wyatts, Cesaro, etc.) are on route to Saudi Arabia for the tour there and Bryan's still on honeymoon.

I was there sitting a couple of rows behind the announcers and the show was ok. I always enjoy live wrestling, the torito vs hornswoggle match was an abomination. It was cool to see Bo Dallas in a Dark Match. Also Paul Heyman came out and was amazing, the booing was so loud I couldnt really hear what he was saying. I do not know if this was shown on Main Event or not but Monster Kane came down and beat down the Big Show. I will be there for the Night of Champions PPV my first ever PPV.
Edit: Also no CM Punk Chants which as a fan of CM Punk I am glad that is dying out. Some guy started a What chant near me that only caught on during Lanas introduction of Rusev.

Nothing too exciting on this week's Smackdown. I'm hoping Sheamus can pull a decent brawl out of Big Dave. Since Vordell Walker was in a dark match, I just want to take this time to express who unsettling round his head is.

How is it possible to pull him out?!

He looks like Leviathan Batista made love to Bo Dallas and nine months later he popped out fully formed
