Does anyone find themselves watching more WCW/NWA wrestling more than old-school WWF? I didn't start watching wrestling until late 1999-early 2000, and I only watched WWF, so I didn't see the mess that was WCW 2000 at the time. I didn't even know anything about WCW until the Invasion angle, and by then WWF had me convinced it was some low-rent company that wasn't on their level. Now when I want to watch old-school wrestling, I always watch old Nitros, SN, PPVs and Thunder as opposed to the Attitude Era (which does NOT age well at all IMO) that I grew up with. I even like the pre-Bischoff era, as WrestleWar 1992 is one of my favorite PPVs. Just curious if there's anyone else that does.

I started watching wrestling around 1989-ish, and at the time, I liked WWF way better. It wasn't until recently that I realized that most of the time, WCW stuff from that era was mostly superior.

You missed out going on a rollercoaster of emotions as a WCW fan during the years the company was active.

I started watching WCW in '96 at the age of 10. After being a mostly WWF kid, trying to play catchup on WCW history was at times like watching wrestling from another planet. It was great, just so different from the style I was accustomed to.
I really recommend checking out the double shot of Spring Stampede '94 and Slamboree '94, arguably the two greatest consecutive pay-per-views of all time. Those were the last WCW shows before Hogan came to town and really showed what a unique and diverse roster they had at the time.

I watched both NWA/WCW and WWF until around 1997. After the whole shock of the nWo invasion died down, WCW became stupid to me and I actually started to really hate it. I was a WWF guy during the Attitude era. I still don't like WCW during that time, but I find myself watching a lot of NWA/WCW on YouTube from the 80s/early 90s because (aside from a few stupid gimmicks like the Ding Dongs) it was very good. I challenge you to find a moment more thrilling than watching the Mulkey Brothers upset the Gladiators.

WCW was the first wrestling company I began watching on a regular basis sometime in the early 90s. I always preferred their product over WWF (until Russo came aboard).

WCW in that era often had goofy storylines and stuff that didn't make sense, but compared to the WWF for most of the 90s - and this even applies for a lot of when WWF was on top in the late 90s - the wrestling standard, main events usually separated unless Flair was champion, is of a higher standard across the board.

Yeah I have become a fan in recent years aswell.
I did watch WCW during the Monday night wars, but only until Raw came on and I always viewed WCW as a crappy version of WWF back then.

With the help of the Network yeah, mainly because I've already been exposed to most of the old WWE PPV's whether in full or segmented. I already know or can pretty accurately predict what's going to happen on an old WWE PPV, I don't have that with WCW, it's all new to me with performers I'm not all that familiar with.

I was 11 when I first started watching WCW in 1997 and I loved it.
It's funny how 15 years of WWF has convinced me that I hated WCW.

I've been watching tons of my favorite stuff from the 80's and 90's lately, and while WWF mostly had better story lines, WCW mostly had better wrestling. I do think WWF upped their game around 2000 with the Radicalz, Jericho, Angle, RVD, etc.
