So this is now a thing on podcastone.com. Roddy Piper is releasing a new podcast every Monday. podcastone.com/Pipers-Pit-with-Roddy-PiperEpisode 1 debuted on 4/7 and features Richard Tyson, Tony Hinchcliffe and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Episode 2 came out Monday and Steve Simeone and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. I've only listened to the first podcast so far, and right now I'm lukewarm about it. I realize Piper used to do a podcast at another website (which he mentions on the show), but it really feels like the wrestling podcast market is getting heavily saturated. Between SCSA, JR, Y2J, and Piper, PodcastOne alone is putting out 6 wrestling podcasts a week. It's hard for me to keep up with it all, but damnit I'm trying. I'll listen to the second episode soon because I do want to hear Piper and Duggan's thoughts about Wrestlemania and Warrior. What are your thoughts? EDIT as of 8/2/15: All of Pipers Pit Podcasts have been moved to SoundCloud: soundcloud.com/piperspit

I'm not planning on downloading it. It will probably be listened to at some point when I've drained out the other dozen or so I subscribe to every week. It will get its chance during dishes/house cleaning one day...and either get binge listened to, or turned off after half an hour...

The second episode was more interesting. It was interesting to hear Piper talk about T and Warrior. Sounds like Duggan and Piper still have some bad memories of Warrior.

I just can't take on another podcast. I've pretty much stopped listening to Jericho's. I understand more wrestlers are looking to start a podcast, though the only one I can remember specifically is Dusty Rhodes. I'll listen to Austin, Ross, Cornette, and sometimes Konnan, depending on their guest, but I've got to cut-down on my podcasts.

Even though he's the best host, his guests have been godawful for months now. Austin and Jericho's I listen to if the guests are interesting, while JR's and Piper's are just painful to listen to.

Piper's first episode was awful. The second was pretty good. The third was worse than the first. B

Didn't he start a podcast a couple of years back? Or was that just a radio show?

I tried to listen to his first one, but it was just him rambling with some other guys. At least the other guys have some sort of direction.

I want my hour back after listening to the third one. I notice his only sponsor right now is Adam Corolla.

I haven't been listening to every episode, but I did enjoy the podcasts with Chavo and Bully Ray. Piper is unique, that's for sure.

I'll put it in the list. Currently at about November for getting caught up on SAS and SASu, am up to date on my SModco shows, and was thinking of checking out JR's after I'm up to date on Austin's.
Wouldn't mind getting back into Art of Wrestling too. I dig Colt, but kinda lost interest in the pod for awhile

I've heard a few. The two with the Grappler were pretty fun. Roddy seemed like he was having a good time.
But, his style is just so odd. I have a difficult time getting through some of them because I'm there thinking Roddy's trying to work me. Either that or he's half-wasted.

Vince Russo was on this week in what is part 1 of a two part episode. This one was an interesting listen, as Piper is pretty disagreeable with Russo. Piper just can't let the Owen thing go, it seems.
side note: holy crap it's been a long time since a topic update. I still listen to the podcast occasionally, but I only check out the guests I find interesting. Jeff Jarrett and Jim Ross were fun guests in the past two weeks. They both came on to plug Wrestle Kingdom 9, which Piper tried so hard to pretend to care about. Oh and Wrestlecrap's own RD Reynolds was on a few weeks back as well. That was neat.

Colt Cabana (!) is on this week and next week. So far I've liked this one. It's much better than some of the other podcasts I've heard where Piper interviews a wrestler from a younger generation.
Also, I don't think I heard a single sponsor or advert this week. That can't be a good sign.

The ratings go up and down. He had tremendous heat from the Russo/Cornette combo then killed it with his son being the only guest.

He has some interesting insights but he sounds so punch drunk and out of touch on most things not directly related to old school (pre 1990s) wrestling that it just makes me sad to listen to mostly.

Heard he didn't have many sponsors for the Colt eps cause the typical Podcast One sponsors do not want to upset the apple cart w WWE too much.
