The Twins sequel starring Eddie Murphy as the third brother is still the worst news.

Oh oh I'll take a stab on the movie synopsis. Robin William's daughter (presumably the one not played Mara Wilson) is a recently divorced PR executive with three cute yet precocious children of her own. (Two girls and a boy, natch.) When her nanny quits on the day of a big presentation Grandpa Robin is drafted to take the nanny's place, but when the kids won't respect his authority Robin must don the wig, mask and dress once more to get them in line.
In the B plot there is a love triangle between the daughter, an egotistical co worker (Whom Doubtfire constant torments) and the good natured ex husband whom is also an aspiring actor. (Whom Doubtfire helps.)
And the C plot involves Doubtfire taking over the coaching duties of the middle child's all girls soccer team and using her unorthodox coaching methods to turn the team around and put a bunch of snooty soccer moms in their place.
There 20'th Century Fox, I'm sure you can get one of your top screen writers to easily turn that into a 10 page treatment and a 100+ page script. Just make sure you spell my name right in the credits. I'd......watch this. Nicely done.

And Mara Wilson, who is quickly becoming my favorite person on the Internet, has said she's in no way interested.

The Twins sequel starring Eddie Murphy as the third brother is still the worst news. What if the makers of this movie took their cues from Marvel, and decided to make the Twins movies and Mrs. Doubtfire movies exist within the same universe?!

You can even recycle the gag about her hairy legs by making her wear soccer shorts and she can really roughly tackle an amorous coach from another school, who after Mrs. Doubtfire tackles him and he's flat on his back, he leans up on his elbows, adjusts his hat, widens his eyes, and says 'what a woman.'

I'd care if I wasn't madder about all Broadway shows being based on a movie, a TV show, or a music group. That is getting more annoying than remakes/reboots/late sequels, honestly.

Robin Williams is a brilliant individual, but sadly he has found himself as a great actor who took easy paydays and now at 62, he's not an in demand actor and hasn't been for some time.
Hollywood is going with youth obviously. There aren't many actors his age and older that can get starring roles in films nowadays. There's a handful yes, but a handful.
I don't know how much he owes on this damned divorce, but over the past few years, he's returned to standup AND television-2 things he didn't need in the mid 80s-and 90s when he was pretty much on top of the world (or damn close to it)

Am...am I the only one who likes this news?! I don't hate it really I honestly don't see the point 20 years later when all the kids are adults. Is a sequel for something that doesn't need one 20 years later. It make more sense two years later after the first one when the kids are still young enough.
