Shouldn't that be part of your personal title Do you want me to be mocked mercilessly in every thread I post in?! I don't want any part of that viciousness.

Because he was too good as the Crowd Killer.

Because he was too good as the Crowd Killer. I think someone proudly proclaiming themselves THE CROWD KILLER! would be an awesome gimmick

Hey, that's a former NWA World Champion you're talking about, a belt such great names as Flair, Mike Rapada, Race, Dan Severn, Steamboat, Rubbish Ronnie Garbage, Funk, a guy with a Sheik gimmick in the 2010s, Thesz and the great Kahagas have held.

FAN never fails to remind me that I was apparently the only one who liked "The Con Man" Rob Conway. It's a cold and lonely life for a Con Man Fan. Beats my title of "guy that always starts spontaneous Alberto Del Rio fan posts."

I use to find his entrance to the ring extremely cringeworthy.

Everyone knows there is only one way and that's the Con-Way. And Just Look at Me is one of the best theme songs ever produced.

My personal favourite Conway pop was for Jinder Mahal at the Royal Rumble a couple years back. The contrast from excitement of "3...2...1...!" to just brutal, deafening silence was so incredible that I actually burst out laughing.

Because absolutely no one anywhere gave a f*** about him. Hasn't stopped them pushing Del Rio for years... but, fancy cars.

Conway was an incredible talent, his OVW work proves this. His music killed him. I like the song myself, but as an entrance theme with absolutely no signature opening, it's a crowd killer. I liked the song too. To this day, I don't understand how a song sung by a z-list Randy Newman impersonator could NOT get a reaction.

Only thing I liked about Conway was that as a kid I'd always pass by a street named Conway.... as for Del Rio, ever since he fought Batista he's getting a pretty decent reaction, he even got a face pop on Raw when they faced off.

People were so in awe looking at him, that they couldn't pop.

Does anyone know why Rob Conway's "Con Man"/Legend Killer push was halted? Seemed like he had creative behind him. Because he lost to most of them. Except Doink, but everybody other than Mike Knox beat Doink.

There was a pop on Smackdown? What a shocker! And the clearly celebrating crowd was what, CGI? I dislike Del Rio, but the guy *was* pretty over as a face before the nonsensical heel turn

* October 10, 2005 - RAW: Rob Conway defeated Doink The Clown (played by Steve Lombardi).. * October 17, 2005 - HEAT: Rob Conway defeated Greg Valentine by DQ when Eugene interfered (Valentine turned on Eugene).. * October 24, 2005 - RAW: Rob Conway defeated Koko B. Ware in a match taped for HEAT..
He only faced three legends so his "Legend Killer" name doesn't really work.

I watched Raw and never missed it in all of 05 but I don't remember any except maybe when he beat Doink.
