link We should note this isn't the first time a director has been accused of this kind of thing. Victor Salva, director of Jeepers Creepers 1&2, served time for molesting a child on the set of his film Clownhouse.

I hope justice is done, no matter what ends up being the truth of the matter.
Is Bryan Singer related to his lawyer?

Nor is it the first time Bryan Singer has been sued for this. www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,287669,00.html Rapist or not the guy's a habitual cradle robber and skeezy as f***, imo.

The general reaction I've seen on the internet is a complete lack of surprise.

if you look more into this the whole thing comes off kinda shady:
- the lawsuit is coincidentally coming weeks before a highly anticipated movie directed by Singer is scheduled to be released - the means in which he's able to sue Singer in Hawaii is coming to a close. the statute of limitations for civil suits in Hawaii on sexual assault with a minor states the suit has to be filed before the minor turns 26, but a two-year window for people previously unable to sue their alleged abusers was enacted two years ago. that window closes on April 24. - he is not suing the guy who initiated the whole series of events that lead to him meeting Singer, despite naming him in the suit and stating he A) repeatedly raped him, B) basically turned him into a gay prostitute, and C) threatened to "eliminate" him and his family. that may or may not have to do with the fact that he spent several years in prison for luring minors across state lines for the purposes of sex and is likely broke as a joke (at the very least, he ain't got no X-Men money) - this isn't the first time he's sued someone, as he previously (and unsuccessfully) tried to sue his brother

The timing is weird.
......you'd think when he was making the Nazi movie with TOM CRUISE would've been a better/more appropriate time.
Instead, he's just pissing off nerds who want more Bryan Singer X-Men movies.

It is very odd timing and considering the film comes out next month and is sure to be a success, he comes out of the woodworks now and sues for damages. I realize I am different from some people, however, I don't care who the person is or what they say, if they have raped or molested someone they're going to jail. I don't care if it's Bryan Singer or King Kong. They could make all the threats they want they would be in prison so they couldn't do it to anyone else. Hence why I have a hard time believing this guys claims.

Not sure if I buy this guy's claims, though I will say I am actually really interested in that documentary.

That would have been the worst time to sue imaginable.

I sense FOx delaying DOFP a couple of weeks to redo the credits to replace Singer's name with "Alan Smithee" and have it switch dates with How to train your Dragon 2.

I sense FOx delaying DOFP a couple of weeks to redo the credits to replace Singer's name with "Alan Smithee" and have it switch dates with How to train your Dragon 2. The correct answer is "Stevie Richards". /Though if they wanted to troll everyone, put in "Brett Ratner" instead. //The shallow comic nerd in me says "great, this means no more GOOD X-Men movies." ///Cause remember, if you see an X-Men film and you DON'T see Bryan Singer's name, run away. Far, far away.
