Seems rather odd. I don't recall a big dropoff in popularity between WrestleMania 3 and 4.

I think Trump offered the WWF a ton of cash to hold WM 4 at his venue.

Yep, Donald Trump was offering WWF far more money to give them the same sort of appeal that boxing had at the time, when boxing was running in those sorts of venues.

Where could they have gone to top 93K?

I think every wrestlemania after III is a drop off...VI came fairly close, though. No matter where you go, the venue will be smaller.
With Trump, the offer was good for two in a row and it led to an on and off working relationship that has lasted over 20 years.

In addition to the money, Trump apparently had an amazing crew running his events as opposed to other arenas (Skydome, Hoosier Dome) that sort of left WWE to their own devices in setting things up.
Also, as others have mentioned, Trump Plaza was a big name in boxing fights in the heyday of Mike Tyson. So they were associating their product with a known commodity in ppv/premium cable fights.

My mind was blown, just a few months ago, when I found out the two PPVs were actually in the convention center as opposed to the actual Trump Plaza. Whenever I'd see the WWF magazine ad with the large, vertical Trump Plaza structure I'd think how weird the actual inside looked being so wide. Little did I know, it was two separate places.

Because Donald Trump threw a big bag of money at Vince and Vince caught it with a big grin on his face.

According to the Wrestlemania book, they knew they couldn't have a bigger attendance at Wrestlemania IV, but they were impressed by the organisational standards that Trump showed them, and the opportunity to expand Wrestlemania into a full weekend at the casino. The Trump group did such a good job that they decided to do it all again for Wrestlemania V.
Personally I love Wrestlemania IV and V. It was a great venue IMO.

The owner of the Silverdome wasn't willing to do a hair vs. hair match years later.

Yeah, it was Trump's money that was the main lure for the WWE to hold WrestleMania IV there. The Superdome was originally considered along with the Thomas and Mack Center but the Superdome was booked already.

WWE's popularity soared after WM3 and the financial peak of the era was WM5. WWE made money money from their Trump Plaza shows than the Silverdome one.

WWE's popularity soared after WM3 and the financial peak of the era was WM5. WWE made money money from their Trump Plaza shows than the Silverdome one. Exactly. Just 2 months before WM 4, Hogan and Andre's rematch drew wrestling's largest TV audience (a figure that still stands today). A feat that is even more remarkable when you consider that it was on a Friday night. And WM 5 held wrestling PPV buyrate record, again remarkable when you also consider that WCW and TBS put on the Clash of the Champions from The Silverdome, I mean, the Superdome (brother) with the Flair/Steamboat 2 out of 3 falls match.
