Summerslam 2001 for the first Angle/Austin Alliance title match and the Rock's return. That and maybe In your house: DX 1997 I'm glad someone else likes IYH: DX. So many people crap on it, but to me, it's a show that brings about everything new with the Attitude Era. Another show similar to this is Unforgiven 1998. Isn't In Your House: DX where Austin and Rock had the blowoff to their IC Title feud? Yeah, that show is great for Attitude nostalgia.

You also have the HHH/Slaughter bootcamp match and The Artist Formally Known as Goldust reading Green Eggs and Ham.

I remember Stone Cold stunning D'lo on the truck, as well as Owen Hart running in the HBK/Shamrock match. Unforgiven was pretty good too. First Austin/Dude Love match up right? I think that also had the Inferno Match

I'm 2 hours into Mayhem '99, and this is an amazingly good show for Russo-era WCW. There's a little bit of crap, but overall I'm not bored. I will say this though, it's sad to watch a clearly intoxicated Scott Hall wrestle Booker T.

Some of my suggestions:
WCW Fall Brawl '96 - Some pretty enjoyable matches especially the undercard. DDP/Chavo was a good opener, the Benoit/Jericho match was astounding, Konnan/Juventud, and the Cruiserweight Title match between Rey & Super Calo are enjoyable as well. Also, the infamous WarGames Match which led to the transition from Surfer Sting into the Crow Sting.
WCW Halloween Havoc '97 - Eddie/Rey, the DDP/Savage Last Man Standing Match are some highlights of the PPV.
WWF Canadian Stampede '97 - The Hart Foundation/Team Austin main event, Taker vs. Vader, HHH vs. Mankind (despite the finish), and Taka Michinoku vs. Great Sasuke were thoroughly enjoyable for a 4 match PPV that isn't the Royal Rumble.
WWF Fully Loaded 2000 - A phenomenal Last Man Standing match with Jericho/HHH, the forgotten IC Title Cage match between Rikishi/Val Venis, and the World title match between Rock/Benoit. WWF had some really great PPVs in 2000 especially this one.

Mayhem 1999 was an interesting show. The tournament finals between and Chris Benoit was a real solid match, with a bit overbooked finished with an Outsiders run in.
The final sequence between Benoit going for the Crossface only for Bret to twist out of it to get him in the Sharpshooter for the win, was amazing.
This show was the first Benoit one I've seen since.... that day.
Say what you will about David Flair's in ring performances, but he did a good disturbed crazy stalker.
With better editing, the little video package for the David Flair Vs. Kimberly match (yes, really) could have looked like a horror movie trailer.
It had absolutely zero reason to be on a PPV, but it was a fun segment, and David actually hitting Arn Anderson in the back with a crowbar legit shocked me.

Honestly I think the only thing David sucked at was wrestling itself. I thought he was a great nutcase. You really believed he was off his nut (and he probably was, look at his dad).

I say with all Sincerity, Great American Bash 2006
I initially put it on because I knew it was when Booker won the World Heavyweight Championship in WWE (3 years later than it should have happened, but hey, at least he finally got it).
I did not know this was the Elevated Liver Enzymes show, so I got a kick out of that.
A large part of the show being so enjoyable to me is JBL's commentary. Especially during King Booker's entrance in the main event.
Match wise, the only two ones that I would say were duds were the Punjabi Prison and Batista Vs. Kennedy.
Punjabi Prison because, advertised Undertaker Vs. Khali, had a hype package all about how Khali had just decimated Undertaker at Judgement Day, and was "The New Phenom". Match ended up being Undertaker Vs. Big Show. Because Reasons.
The match wasn't really bad, per se, but during the match, JBL kept saying Undertaker was a shell of his former self, and afterwards Michael Cole saying that the old Undertaker was back. Would have meant a lot more if Undertaker actually managed to do this against the man who had decimated him in the first place.
Batista Vs. Kennedy had no reason being on PPV at all. It felt like a SmackDown segment that would have lead into a PPV match. Also got to love after bleeding profusely, and getting beaten in the corner to the point of Batista getting DQ'd, Kennedy completely no sold three Batista Spinebusters.
The rest of the show? Absolutely fantastic!
A very hot opener with Paul London and Brian Kendrick defending the Tag Team Championships against The Pitbulls to open up the show.
A real fun brawl between Finlay and Regal for the US Championship, with some fun antics with the proto Hornswoggle.
Matt Hardy and Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms having what was my pick for the best match on the card, though I truly wish the title had been on the line. I know they said Matt didn't meet the weight requirement, but I think having the title being at stake would have added another layer of specialness to the match.
Bra And Panties four way match was inoffensive, and had some fun moments. Possibly the least infuriating use of using the Divas match as the cool down that I can think of.
And in my pick for second best match on the card, King Booker becoming King Of The World after beating Rey Mysterio. The big thing for me was Booker using the Three Amigos on Rey. They had good ring chemistry together. I wish they had more matches together, because this was a lot of fun.
If ever there was a show that needed more love, it's this one.

Mayhem 1999 was either the 1st or 2nd best Russo WCW PPV. I might say Fall Brawl 2000 as well, take your pick. But no, that wasn't the really great Bret/Benoit match. The Owen tribute match was on Nitro about a month earlier before Russo got there. They were just killing time on a lame duck show before Russo got there, and ironically enough that produced WCW's best match that year.
Oddly enough, I might go with Great American Bash 1995 as a fairly decent PPV. 1995 was a truly awful year for WCW PPV wise, but this show was actually pretty decent to my surprise. Pillman/Wright was a solid opener, Sting/Meng in the US title tourney finals was a solid match, and Flair/Savage was about what you'd expect. What's odd is that the next PPV, Bash at the Beach 1995, had some rematches from that show and it was HORRIBLE.

I watched WCW Greed for the first time a couple of weeks back & totally enjoyed it
The opener was Jason Jett vs Kwee Wee & Jett really impressed me Rey Mysterio Jr. and Billy Kidman vs Kid Romeo and Elix Skipper was great & high flying with some good spots Later on the card was Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs Shane Helms which was a great match even though it was weird seeing Chavo try to be Eddie v2 Some funny moments with Dusty Scott Steiner vs Diamond Dallas Page was pretty zany but entertaining & featured Paul London as a plant
All round good stuff after I'd heard nothing but bad from 2001 WCW

King of the Ring 96 is an awesome show that feels like the beginning of the Attitude Era. It's known for Austin 3:16 said I just whooped your ass, but there's a lot more to it. I agree. Top-to-bottom, it's the absolute best card you could have assembled with the roster they had and everybody delivered. Everhting just gelled and everyone just clicked. Add in the rare bonus of Owen Hart on commentary and you have one of the most under-appreciated incredible cards of all time.

I also want to throw out, if anyone wants a wall-to-wall outstanding Bobby Heenan performance, his commentary at Uncensored '95 and Hog Wild '96 were stellar. The actuals shows I can't necessarily vouch for, but Heenan was firing on all cylinders and both nights are the perfect argument against the falsehood that "WCW Heenan sucked."

Owen ragging on Sable during the Mero/Austin match is one of my favorite wrestling-related things. The way he called her "homely" and said she's worthless as a manager had me rolling, not out of any dislike for Sable but more the way Owen said it. Not to mention his threats at JR through the show. Something about Owen's delivery when threatening or ripping on people is too funny.

King of the Ring 96 is an awesome show that feels like the beginning of the Attitude Era. It's known for Austin 3:16 said I just whooped your ass, but there's a lot more to it. Pillman gave a money promo at this show that basically acted as a mission statement for the soon to be Attitude Era, but goes virtually forgotten thanks to Austin 3:16. Five reasons to check out Starrcade 95, aside from the "WCW/New Japan best of seven" format: 1. No Hogan, and very little of the Dungeon of Doom. 2. A surprisingly good triple threat match with a logical, well-told story. 3. Every match feels important, even ones featuring "unknowns" like Alex Wright and Eddy Guerrero. 4. Lex Luger. I'm serious. Lex single-handedly made what could have been an awkward tweener gimmick fun and interesting. 5. It doesn't feel like a traditional PPV. If anything, it comes off as a wrestling-themed Christmas party that just happened to be filmed. Everyone, from the performers to the announcers to the fans, seem to be having a blast. That kind of vibe is infectious. I desperately miss the WCW-New Japan/TNA-New Japan working agreements and things like the World Cup of Wrestling best of seven series and the World X Cup. I also want to throw out, if anyone wants a wall-to-wall outstanding Bobby Heenan performance, his commentary at Uncensored '95 and Hog Wild '96 were stellar. The actuals shows I can't necessarily vouch for, but Heenan was firing on all cylinders and both nights are the perfect argument against the falsehood that "WCW Heenan sucked." This! A million times this! Especially with Uncensored '95 and The Brain vs Tupelo, Mississippi. "You don't want to go to a hospital in Tupelo, Mississippi with a bad leg, they'll shoot you!"

There's also {Spoiler}Pillman telling Austin on the way to the ring for the KOTR final something to the effect of "GO GET IT!" in the most savage way possible. Such an excellent subtle moment. Seriously, even if you've seen King of the Ring '96 at some point before, it's absolutely worth a rewatch for great moments like that which you may have missed. Not to mention Mero and Austin who had incredible chemistry and showed, if we're going by that match alone, that Mero had a lot to offer the company with that particular style. You have Lawler brutally roasting the Milwaukee crowd as he walks to the ring, followed by The Ultimate Warrior doing exactly what everyone who likes the Warrior enjoying him doing. You have an outstanding Mankind-Undertaker match, (Taker's first clean loss in, what, four years?) which is not only in the shadow of their Hell in a Cell match, but even int he annals of underrated matches is in the shadow of the boiler room brawl. Goldust at his absolute most bizarre coupled with Ahmed Johnson's absolute finest hour. The crowd is great, the look of the arena is cool, if we're judging this as a stand-alone show and not factoring in the build-up or the fall-out, it's as good as wrestling pay-per-views get.
