So I was just thinking about how stupid an idea Kane V Daniel Bryan is and then I came to a blank as to who else other than Evolution members he could really face.
WWE don't have any heels really at the moment.
The two top Heels (Trips and Lesnar) are part timers, I guess there's Orton and Batista but after that who is there?
I'd hardly say Kane is on the level of a title fued, he just got squashed at Mania, unless the angle they run is that when he became Korporate he lost his ruthlessness and now he has rediscovered it or whatever.
But anyway with Tripls Orton and Batista fueding with The Shield and Brock not around they are at a lack of anyone to really fued with Bryan.
I am not buying that the Wyatts are heels, They've been getting big pops for ages, but I guess in this "no such thing as face and heels" world we apparantly live in now they can continue playing The Heels on paper even if they aren't heels in reality.
I guess if they have Bray win this Cena fued they could slot him in to finish his fued with Bryan from May until July, I mean he beat him at the Rumble so giving Bryan his win back against someone who has been booked so strongly (and will give him a great match if the Rumbles anything to go by) is the only thing I can see them really doing.
I guess at Summerslam we'll either get Bryan V Trips, or more likely Evolution will end up disbanding and we'll get Bryan V HHH V Batista V Orton in a fatal four way
Not sure where they go from there, I wouldn't be surprised if Batista wins the title at Summerslam so we get another Face chasing the heel storyline till next years mania, and his movie comes out around then. Not sure if Bryan will get another chase though, I see maybe one of The Shield members in that role. I think Bryan will face Lesnar at Mania.

I think the key point is that right now, without a credible heel besides HHH/Orton/Batista they decided to elevate the Shield to the main event and have Bryan on the fringes of it rather than do Bryan and one of them in the ME while elevating someone new Bryan could face next month (maybe Wyatt after beating Cena at ER, I dunno) to give Bryan a credible opponent while they go whack off as Evolution.

Bray Eyatt is the most obvious choice off the bat. They are starting to push Barrett and Cesaro, but not sure if they are ready for main event just yet. You could maybe argue for Sheamus turning heel.

I actually don't think he needs a heel right now. Just have him be a fighting champ, taking on other faces and shaking their hands before matches and stuff for a few months, and in the meantime build a heel for him to overcome at Summerslam.

I think Fighting Champion Bryan is the most optimistic perspective, and one I'm very sympathetic to because I really like that approach. I'd love to see him wrestling a different guy every week on tv, face or heel, and putting on great matches with a litany of people like Bret was doing in 1992-1994.

This is the first thing I thought when I saw all the "why are they keeping Cesaro heel?" threads. Who would he work with as a face?

Cesaro, Lesnar, Triple H & Co., Wyatt, Barrett (yes, Bad News Barrett), Sheamus (?), etc. With the new faces of WWE almost set (Bryan, Shield, Big E, and eventually Cesaro), WWE can now elevate current heels or turn bigger stars heel.

I do not care how many pops they're getting you cannot call the Wyatts faces with their characters

I believe the reason that Cesaro was put with Heyman was so he could stay a heel. A Cesaro/Daniel Bryan feud perhaps?

Early 90's Bret Hart is exactly what they should be going for with Bryan.

I'd like to see Bryan vs Luke Harper.

We may see the return of an Aggressive Competitor to the title scene

Adrian Neville
The two of them can put on a masterclass.

I figure that he'll battle some sucka this month and then get back into the Batista/Orton rotation until Brock shows back up to steamroll him.

He's the perfect guy to do it, too. Is there a better wrestler on the roster than Bryan? Cena as Fighting Champion in 2005/6 failed because he wasn't good enough in the ring to really do much with it. But Bryan's so good that it won't be a problem.

HHH, Batista, Orton, Brock Lesnar, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, Bo Dallas, Sheamus (who turns heel and brings up the past and is a dick about it). There are tons of competitors for a long long time.

We may see the return of an Aggressive Competitor to the title scene I'd take it. I cannot see how Bryan -v- Del Rio would be any less than a MOTY candidate in terms of in ring talent.

There's a difference between being a heel and being a heel over enough to fued with the champion. NoBOdy is going to buy Bo Dallas going for the title right now, HHH, Batista and Orton are all already oocupied Cesaro is being positioned at the IC title level for now, Sheamus turning heel is a good idea though, he is doing nothing as a face and fits in with what the fans want to boo nowadays.
