Honestly, I never thought Heenan and Schiavone had much chemistry for most of their run.
They had a few moments but for the most part they just didn't click imo.
edit: anyway this ppv... I forgot to watch it so I decided to do so this morning...
{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}First off, the set is kinda cheesy but the Hallowwen Havoc sets were always kinda cheesy with the high school play graveyard. The demon at least adds a central visual to it.
the Lash Leroux vs. Disco was a good opening match..
Why did they make a big deal that the Filthy Animals were stripped of the titles only for them to come out with them...
I second the statement of the hardcore matches seeming like a lame copy of what the WWE were doing... Also was their a point for the Dusty style finish to the tag title match?
Also I will never not hear Francesca Fiore parfume whenever I hear Booker T/Harlem Heat's theme
This Kimberly and DDP promo is Russotastic...
Eddie Guerrero stole Flair's watch... haha... racism...
Eddie is right not to trust Tony...
Saturn vs. Guerrero should be a great match... Though they blatantly spoiled Ric is going to interfere at some point
I Forgot Saturn did so many sprinboards.
Match was great and Flair of course comes out as telegraphed... would have liked it if it happened after the match... but still.
Heh Ric forgot to grab his watch.
Sid was bright purple...
Oh god it's Buff Bagwell
Oh goody he's also shootin at the Writers from up north!
It's J-a-double R haha E double T!
OW... the guitar didn't break when Luger smacked Buff with the guitar... but Lex broke it on the turnbuckle afterwards...
Hmm... weird transition from the Sid medic interview to Eddie on the stairs
all I think of when seeing Berlyn's entrance is this scene from the Venture Brothers... "You guys are Nazis!... Nein we're not"
Berlyn forgetting he's supposed to go for the arrogant cover so Armstrong could turn into a crucifix pin!
so... even if Berlyn hit his finisher he'd knock himself out... that was one of hte dumbest finishes I've ever seen
Rick Steiner without headgear and mismatched boots just looks wrong to me.
Decent match between Steiner and Benoit... if you can get over watching Benoit... a few spots that can be hard to watch in retrospect if you;re on the fence though...
this match of course ends on a RUSSO SWERVE!
Bret Hart with
a groin pull of the highest magnitude sverely injured ankle
So uh was this during the goofy period where Lex had a funeral for Lex Luger and told everyone to call him only The Total Package?
He Lex fumbled trying to take his entrance pants off...
This match is very dull...
and ends with Bret tapping out to a single leg crab...
Heenan comppletly burying the cologne is hilarious... also this whole cologne shilling is stupid and pointless... and of course ends in a worked shoot... and they couldn't even keep the name of the shadowy organization straight between the Powers that be and the superpowers.
Hogan refuses to enter... always a plus for more Heenan hating Hogan
...Is this the start of Terry Bolea era Hogan?
You know if I ordered this PPV to see Sting vs. Hogan I'd be pissed...
another odd transition of going from the bullshit worked shoot pin into the Sid vs. Goldberg vignette.
Sid vs. Goldberg... this is going to be a carwreck isn't it...
Goldberg trying to push open an obvious pull door was funny as hell.
Was nice of Hall and Nash to wait till Goldberg was at ringside to attack him... instead of on the way through the lobby.
They really like using the stairs on their side spot.
Yep a car wreck...a bloody bloody car wreck.
Sting comes out now... is it time for another Worked shoot? WE haven't have enough of those tonight.
Blast no just a regular worked promo about not being here to have a night off and wants to wrestle an actual match.. good to know
out comes DDP for the STrap match... and I haven't said this yet but damn Kimberly was gorgeous
This match is pretty much just DDP murdering Flair...
Well Ric makes his comeback in the ring while still looking like a murder victim
Little Naitch counts to 2 then does a 3 as if Flair kicked out... but calls for the bell anyway... the hell
and now it's time for nutshots! Kimberly knees David in the balls and DDP nails Flair in the balls with a Crowbar... not the wrestler thankfully then DDP elbow drops David in the nuts after a diamond cutter
They say David Flair is crying and zoom in on his face which looks more like it's in an expression of dull surprise.
and the filthy animals kidnap Flair in an ambulence while Torrie Tapes it...
but enough about that it's time for Sting's open challenge
here comes Goldberg... who apparently doesn't need help getting out of his dressing room now
Also doesn't have his US title with him...
Commentators are hyping up this as a Heavyweight title match... then midway through Schiavone says wait no it's non title... Ok...
stalling while we wait for a ref to show up and finally here comes lil naitch.
Goldberg represents the whole night! come on Schiavone Goldberg's not THAT bad.
and Goldberg wins... and is handed the title and announced as new Heavyweight champion... even though the announcers stated it wasn't a Title Match... the f***...
