Batista is not currently being advertised for any WWE events following Extreme Rules, so it appears he will be taking some time off.
As we reported when he returned to the company, he was expected to take a break to do promotional work for his next film, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy", which opens in August.

Oh man, his reactions to fan's questions could be fun. I wonder how long it will take him to say "Suck my balls" to a fan's question at Comic Con.

If I were to guess, they either would have tried getting him in for a couple of PPVs to defend it and mostly pretapes otherwise, or he would have dropped the title back to Orton who would've then lost it to Bryan, leading to a Bryan / Batista SummerSlam match. |

Ah bummer that means Evolution is only a one time thing. I thought it might be but I was hoping there would be some feuding about it at least. In my ideal world Batista and Orton would create their own versions of evolution with both of them in the HHH role as I think three man stables are the wave of the future and its been long enough since Legacy that it would not feel old. It would have led to the HHH, Batista, Orton triple threat we did not see at Mania.

I would imagine that they would have wanted the same deal they had with The Rock, where for the Fast and Furious movie that was being promoted it was "current WWE champion Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson" in the press |

I like the notion. Bats comes back in, does the new generation favours (Bryan and Shield) and then goes off having fun with bigger buisness. He's being used the right way as he really has peaked as a performer and done everything.
