NWA Starrcade (11/22/84) – Tully Blanchard© vs. Ricky Steamboat (NWA World Television Championship)For some odd reason, the announcer added that there was a "No-Run Rule in Effect"... whatever that means but it didn't affected this little gem here. Steamboat's injured rib comes into play quite nicely in this match and Tully, as always, cunningly tries to take advantage of. Steamboat's strikes are great here. The pace is consistent and organic from how the momentum shifts between the two. Pro-wrestling at its finest, folks. As always, here are the highlights:

@pauledraperously and Johawn (sorry I couldn't tag your name for some reason), thanks very much for your responses. I'm glad you're enjoying them as much as I enjoy making these . Today's edition: NJPW G1 Climax '94 - Masahiro Chono vs Keiji Mutoh Not quite like their classic G1 '91 match, but it's still damn good (the rest of 94's Climax is damn good as well). Mutoh dominates the match but Chono won't quit. I dig the pace here and the finish is pretty neat. One of the highlights of G1 Climax '94 and it's worth checking out. Here's a preview:

Fu-Ten (9/26/10) – Daisuke Ikeda vs. Takeshi OnoNot in the mood to see old wrestling from a different time period? Want to see a stiff slugfest and cruel-looking submissions used? If that’s the case, then you’re in for one hell of a treat. This is one of the best short matches you’ll ever see and it's only 5 minutes long! Fu-Ten is Ikeda's promotion in case you're wondering. Well, that escalated quickly. Seriously though, were they in the middle of a blood feud for that short amount of ass-kickery?

Actually they're a team (Team Tacos is their name) that are just having a "friendly" contest. They both used to wrestle for BattlARTS so it's no wonder they wrestled the way they did in this match .

AJPW Champion's Carnival (3/31/00) - Mitsuharu Misawa vs Toshiaki KawadaTheir last match together before Misawa's departure/Talent Exodus. If you're already familiar with these two, than expect nothing less. For those who don't, this is a nice sample if you're new to 90's-'00 All Japan. It's slightly short and a bit faster than the matches they had before. One of the greatest rivalries that ends on a high note. Give it a watch and here are the highlights:

NJPW (4/3/83) – Tatsumi Fujinami© vs. Riki Choshu (WWF International Heavyweight Championship)Oh man, this feud. Brief context: Circa late '82, Choshu and Fujinami got into an altercation during a 6-man tag match (they were partners). Throughout the match, they exchange slaps and after it was over, Choshu attacks Fujinami from behind. Choshu then, creates his own stable, Ishingun, that will terrorize NJPW for some time until Choshu's invasion of All Japan(more on this later). This feud lasts for the remainder of '83 and it really elevated the careers of the two as they soon became top draws around this time.
As for the match, it is something special. Choshu doesn't even wait for the bell to ring and already they clothesline each other, putting it over as a dangerous move which was a nice touch. Crowd was hot for Fujinami throughout and made the match even more awesome. Watch as they trade holds, tease spots, and exciting nearfalls that amps up the crowd more. The finish was just splendid. This feud must continue but let's save that for another day...
