60k is their best? That's pretty damn bad considering Impact was getting over a million views at one point. Thanks for clearing that up for me Hippo Mod

Legit question. Do people actually pay for TNA ppvs? I'm not shitting on TNA or trying to be negative. TNA airs it's ppv's for free here in Ireland so I'm just curious. By all accounts very very few purchase them. I think the best they ever did was 60K for Joe/Angle at Lockdown 08. That is one reason they were so keen on dropping down to 4 live PPVs, the lose so much on them that they would either cut their loses drastically or by having fewer, they would mean more and draw more. I think the 60K was for the original Joe/Angle match at Genesis 06, with their Lockdown title match in 08 being the 2nd biggest draw theyve had. Im not 100% on that, but that's what I seem to recall.

The 0.83 Rating they did last Thursday drew 1.05M viewers. They used to draw 1.5M though, so yes, horrible percentage of people who watch that bought the PPVs.

I thought Lockdown '08 had 80K, while the Genesis '06 one had 60K. I remember reading that, at the time, Hardcore Justice '10 was the highest grossing one since Lockdown '08, until BFG '10 surpassed that a couple months later.

Legit question. Do people actually pay for TNA ppvs? I'm not shitting on TNA or trying to be negative. TNA airs it's ppv's for free here in Ireland so I'm just curious. Let me just preface this by saying TNA doesn't release it's PPV numbers publicly so everything from hereon in is speculative from stuff I've seen around the internet: It's pretty bad at the minute. I haven't heard any numbers from Lockdown or Sacrifice but last year's PPV buys were supposedly: - Genesis (13k) - Lockdown (17k) - Slammiversary (13k) - Bound For Glory (17k) Which is pretty terrible if true considering TNA's biggest show of the year only drew 17k. They never drew particularly well on PPV but they've really gone through the mill in recent years (they were doing 5-10k supposedly from 2010 until they cut down to 4 PPVs a year for every show bar Lockdown, Slammiversary and BFG). Compare that to the pre-Hogan years where, even with 12 PPV's a year, their shows were doing a fair bit better (nowhere close to WWE level but still better than 5-10k). Back then they were supposedly doing 15k for the smaller shows, 25k for Lockdown and Slammiversary and 30-35k for Bound For Glory. Supposedly their best buyrates are: - Genesis '06, 60k (Joe/Angle) - Lockdown '08, 55k (Joe/Angle) - Destination X '07, 39k (Joe/Christian) - BFG '07, 36k (Angle/Sting) - Turning Point '06, 35k (Joe/Angle) - Lockdown '07, 35k (Team Cage/Team Angle) - Final Resolution '07, 34k (Abyss/Christian/Sting) - Turning Point '09, 31k (Joe/Daniels/AJ) I want to stress again that nobody knows for sure but those are the rumours my scouring of the internet has found me.

Sooooo... is TNA doing the 4 PPVs a year? Because if they are, this is the third and we're only 6 months in once the PPV happens.

Hmmm, I don't know whether to be exited for this show or not. I'm intrigued and totally not bothered in the slightest all at the same time. They should have brought back KotM so there was some added hook going in, just with no 'hanging the belt' shit and instead make it a 'take down the belt' thing.

Still I could live with it to see the return of the penalty box and the bad ass clusterf*** of awesomeness that KotM used to bring.

So far, we got World Champion Eric Young vs. MVP, and Bully Ray vs. EC3. For some reason, the Ray-EC3 match interests me more.

I doubt people would bring up Money in the Bank, for one they already have with the feast or fired matches... secondly, it's a multi-man ladder match (well with pinfalls) WWE don't hold the exclusive rights to it. and thirdly, I've been saying for years that's how they should have handled the King of the Mountain match.

King of the Mountain should only come back to have Jarrett win and have the crowd riot like they did in 06.

I liked King of the Mountain. Sure it was a clusterf*** but it was an enjoyable clusterf*** and I wouldn't change a single thing about it. Bring it back I say!

I'm actually with you 100% however I'm not against changes being made for it to fit in with the more 'mainstream' wrestling fan. I just want the penalty box back.

Not ragging on TNA but why change it for the mainstream wrestling fan if they aren't gonna watch. At least make it so the people that do watch recognize it and enjoy it. Stop changing everything for the maybe's and make the diehards happy. This way they'd stop bleeding viewers.

These two have the biggest personalities in TNA at present, throw Spud into the mix (but not into the match I hope) and you have great character based wrestling storylines. I generally believe the crowd will be split, but I'm Team EC3 Trouble. Trouble. Trouble. Trouble. Trouble. Trouble. Trouble
