So is it safe to assume that the topic title is her ENTIRE kayfabe name now? That's what they call her in any video she's part of these days. This is such a nitpicky thing but it really annoys me that they bother even calling her Eden at ALL since she came back. That's like calling the crazy hillbilly cult leader "BRAY WYATT aka NXT's 'HUSKY'"
Maybe it's my slight OCD, but just either call her Eden Rhodes or Brandi Rhodes and leave it at that; the Rhodes name itself is already kayfabe, so why bother giving her a 2nd one?

Brandi Rhodes just sounds better. They've acknowledged that she's married to Cody, there is no reason to keep her name Eden. Eden is such a bland, nothing name but Brandi Rhodes... That's money.

The weird thing is, I kept thinking the same thing with Racquel Diaz vs. Shaul Guerrero. Racquel Diaz sounds like one of those bland, vaguely "ethnic" names they like to sometimes give people. Shaul Guerrero sound like a name I'd actually remember and not just because of her last name.

WWE.com acknowledging something is not necessarily a sign that the main shows will acknowledge it. She's still fairly new to NXT, so I think WWE is still deciding on how best to utilize her. I could see her getting in the rotation with Justin Roberts and Lilian Garcia eventually. If WWE decides to make her exclusively a ring announcer, then it may serve little purpose to cast her as the wife of Cody Rhodes. Of course eventually, you might expect them (to further an angle) to have one of Cody's opponent's target her and WWE reveals that she is Cody's real life wife.
It's possible WWE decides they would prefer to have her as a valet for Cody rather than as a ring announcer.

I get that WWE wants to copyright everything, but her real last name is 'Runnels' so you'd think using Brandi 'Rhodes' would be something they could copyright.

Kinda miffed that she chose to leave and then she was brought back because they mentioned her in an angle.
As long she doesn't get an unreasonable push, I guess it doesn't matter.

Is this not part of WWE's weird particular brand of sexism where women are much less likely to get last names for some reason?

That makes me ask another question.
Are they still calling Brie, Brie BELLA, or is she now Brie BRYAN?

She was Eden Stiles in her first run... maybe she lost her last name when she was released

I'm right there with you. So her real name is Brandi Runnels, but they're acknowledging her as Brandi Rhodes (to match her husband's kayfabe name), but also referring to her as Eden. Why? They can copyright Brandi Rhodes, so why not call her that? If they're worried they might decide to get rid of her last name (and they don't want to let her use her real name Brandi) then call her Eden Rhodes for now. That way she's still using a name she can't keep using if she leaves. There's no need to have two fake names for her.
It's worse because Eden is just a normal name. If it were something like Sable or Sunny it wouldn't be as bad. Really they should just let her use Brandi Rhodes, which she apparently asked to use and it was turned down.

I think the reason they call her both is because she's been in the company before. She used the name Eden on the ECW brand.

And even if they couldn't copyright it, who cares? It's not like she's going to become this huge star that leaves the company and gets to use the same name elsewhere,

That's one of the problems with having this and total divas. They went nuts with wanting everyone to have a new name that you get these double names. Just use one or the other.

Actually, her full name is Brandi Rhodes aka NXT's "Eden" based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire.

She's just a ring announcer right? Not a particularly good one if memory serves.
