Corliss Williamson John Wallace Napoleon Kaufman Rey Ordonez Glad to see The Big Nasty getting some love. I was happy as hell when the Kings brought him back as an assistant coach this season.

He's well known to tennis fans but I'll still say Mansour Bahrami, he's such a talented player and has a really interesting life story.

I'm going to have to say Mike Jones who was on the Super Bowl Champion Rams in 1999. He made the game winning tackle in the Super Bowl and was never heard from again.

No offense bro, but none of the guys u named are "obscure." Obscure is like somebody who most ppl havent heard of. Like BJ Surhoff. And ppl in midwest would tell me he's not even obscure.

The Sox have had some guys over the years. That 05 team feels like it was comprised of mostly role players who meshed really well together. El Duque, Joe Crede, Aaron Rowand (who to me as a kid came off as a total douche for some reason. It was probably the goatee), and Bobby Jenks was my favorite. When Ozzie Guillen called him out of the bullpen with the "Big Boy" gesture-in the World Series, no less-and this fat rookie comes in and just mows down the Astros-that was one of my favorite obscure moments.
Ohio State too. We've had David Lighty (awesome glue guy), Dallas Lauderdale (was a backup big, but looked like he could easily kick somebody's ass), Jon Deibler (my favorite OSU white guy before Craft), William Buford (was never the star on those teams, but you always felt like he was in control), Armando Delle Valle (he's playing in Italy now, which sucks. His career highlight might have been awkwardly running onto the court after Craft's buzzer beater and having to be held back.), Evan Ravanel (who replied to me on Twitter once), Lenzelle Smith Jr. (got stitches in his eyebrow during a game, and refused to take painkillers because he wanted to play. THAT'S a Buckeye.), Mark Titus (the Brian Scalabrine of college basketball), and Shannon Scott and Amir Williams (both are gonna be leaders this year as Seniors.)
I'm personally a big fan of Patrick Beverly, because he's a Chi-Town guy and also because he dated my next door neighbor around when he got drafted and I'd see him hanging around my house sometimes.

I once traded an Alonzo Mourning rookie card for a Scott Burrell card. I thought Burrell would be THE 3 point threat/dominant swingman in the NBA for years to come. I was also 8.

Not really obscure I guess but Jason Williams was awesome for a season or two with all of his crazy no look passes.

I don't get this complaint at all. From the OP: We all know the superstars and hall of famers like Michael Jordan and Jerry Rice, but who are your favorite players that will never make anyones alltime great list? I'm talking career backups, journeymen, fringe allstars, one season flashes in the pan etc. What, am I only allowed to pick Felton Spencer or Edgar Jones for this topic? These people (excepting probably Muggsy) are obscure for the general public who only know the stars.
