Why do we need these e-celeb circle jerk threads on the boards? They have comments sections on their own websites, no need to spread their bullshit in a place I actually like. Sorry man, I won't post vids of his here again if this is the consensus You are well within your rights as a poster to post these. If he doesn't want to see them he can ignore the threads... it's really not hard.

How would you guys rank the Spidey movies? I still think Spider-Man 2 with Maguire is the best one ever. However, part 3 is pretty bad. 1. Spider-Man 2 2. The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 5. Spider-Man 3 I'd say that's about right. I might switch 2-4 in different orders depending on my mood, but 1 and 5 are the same, and really any order in the middle works for me.

Spider-Man 3 was pretty terrible. It had some brilliant scenes (the creation of the Sandman, the Bell-tower scene, and Harry's death) but everything else about it was a complete mess.
Amazing 2 was overstuffed, but at least the actors had great chemistry and the villains, however rushed, had legitimate motivation.

Spider Man 2 is still the best superhero movie ever made and while Spider Man 3 is far from the worst i absolutely hated it. Why Sandman made to be the kill Uncle Ben that added nothing to the movie and barely made sense. Why did Venom learn so much information about Sandman off screen how did he even learn it? What was his daughter even sick with? The movie was littered with plot holes that seem to be added for no reason. I have not even seen Amazing spiderman 1 or 2 because of how bad Spider man 3 was though I would if a movie had Madam Web bring both spidermans together.

No way other Kevin. If there's one character I've always thought was crap, it's Madame Web. Her ONE good thing is she was the Macguffin that led to the Roger Stern written Amazing two parter where Spidey fought Juggernaut.

I mostly agree with everything MovieBob said. I loathed the first Amazing Spider-Man movie and felt pretty much nothing about ASM2. Still think Andrew Garfield plays Peter Parker way too cool. At no point do I think Garfield's Peter Parker is anything other than the coolest guy in the room. Which defeats the purpose of Peter Parker. He's a smartass and cool in costume because he isn't that in his personal life. He's an awkward, neurotic nerd.

I agree that Spider-Man 2 is the best superhero movie ever made. I'd put the Dark Knight as a close second, but Spider-Man 2 really captured the conflicted nature of Spidey that most of the movies and even the current comics seem to miss. The real issue with Spider-Man 3 for me was just how absurd it was. It's almost as if the people making it were so drunk off of the success of the first two that they just assumed audiences would gladly take anything. The introduction of Venom made absolutely no sense either. However, I'd give the newer movies a chance. They certainly aren't terrible...it's just that they're made like a music video. Everything is so slick and polished with a Spider-Man that you cannot buy as a nerdy Peter Parker. I do give them credit for sticking closer to the original source material than the original trilogy did.

I... Pretty much agree wholeheartedly with Moviebob, to be honest.
I'll always think Spider-Man 3 gets way too much flack. Yes, it was too crowded and I'm not talking about the villains. Yes, some scenes definitely went too long. Yes, the Sandman killing Uncle Ben was pure nonsense. But if I gotta listen to one more person say the movie sucked by pointing out Peter Parker being an emo-idiot was bad to watch as if that one scene makes it self-explanatory?
Again, with all the things wrong with that movie they got the damn character of Peter Parker down pat and didn't make him this weird sociopath.
That's me though. I don't give too much of a shit about deviations from the source material unless it's something completely ridiculous for no reason (Peter Parker's motivation to become Spider-Man in ASM...or really just Peter Parker in ASM in general).

It doesn't have to be her i have just always liked when different spidermen meet and I know she can make that happen.

Also moviebob's standards are hilariously low for a critic as far as I can tell, the guy defended the Star Wars prequels and The Last Airbender but slagged off reasonably decent movies like the Robocop remake and Man of Steel because they don't conform to his specific tastes. And that's not even getting into how much a mark he is for himself, the guy wrote a f***ing novelized Let's Play for Super Mario Bros and threw a fit when nobody cared. Yeah, I can't stand Moviebob. I did like the initial game overthinker videos before he went to Screwattack and made what had to be the worst skits and storylines for any video series ever. Asalieri and Razorfist's riff on his "why do we love video games" video hits every mark perfectly

Anyone likes Spider-man 3, I'm happy for you (No sarcasm there)
Me I thought it was an overblown P.O.S
ASM2 had it's issues but I enjoyed it

I feel like ASM2 had a lot of the same issues as Spider-Man 3. You had too many villains, weird motivation for the villains, some up and down acting, strange dialogue and some really sappy melodramatic moments. Though for whatever reason ASM2 isn't getting nearly the flack that Spider-Man 3 got. Though could also be because it's new. I remember lots of people liking Spider-Man 3 upon its release. Then after a bit of time passed, it got a lot of (deserving) scorn.

I get why he draws a lot of the conclusions that he does, at the end of the day he's just stating his opinion as it's fact, but, yeaaaah. 3 is brutal. Way more brutal than any portion of the ASM series.

Didnt Stan Lee's wife voice Web in the 90s cartoon? Yes she did. I hate that show never resolved where the real Mary Jane was after Peter's hydro clone wife Mary Jane died. Hmm I have a theory perhaps eventually every Spider man series ends up producing pure crap its just a matter of how long you can hold it off.

He says that Venom is just a boring '90s villian, but Venom debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #299, which came out in April 1988. He should do more research. I think you are nitpicking. Venom is still seen as a 90s character. Cause he really became important during that time period along with Cable, X-Force and all sharpy things. If you take out the emo Peter stuff, Spider-Man 3 is still better than Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2. Cause even if you have a lesser Raimi, it's still Sam Raimi and he has his shit together. Compared to AS1 and 2 who feels like this has been done by commitee. With Amazing Spider-Man 2, NOTHING made sense. Harry Osborne in Spider-Man 3 at least has a whole arc. He's been developped for 3 movies. Compare him to Harry in AS2 where it seems like he's a pycho from the start and turn bad by the end of the movie. AS2 is a movie written by the TNA writting staff where there's no build and the payoffs leaves you numb.
