You know what this thread is lacking of? Penguin fans. Where are they? I haven't seen any here for the past month or so.

On a side note, I'm soooo nervous for Game 7 tomorrow(it's still Thursday out west) night. I really hope the boys can pull it out and get a rematch with the Blackhawks.

Though looking forward to Montreal vs. New York. Should be one hell of a series. Two elite goalies always makes things super interesting in the post season.

Listen, you know I'm good friends with you. You're the best, but I just can't get myself to love the Pens. It's not you, but other, less reasonable Penguins fans, come off as extremely arrogant and douchey/. For that reason, I can't get myself to root for them. Some of the Pens players exert this attitude as well, and I can't stand it.

Bothers me because it makes the fan base look bad. I just try to root for my team without being overly jerky to other team's fans. That's regardless of sport.

Rumor has it they are firing Bylsma and Shero It definitely seems that way. I completely understand why they're firing Bylsma, but I don't see why they're getting rid of Shero. He's actually been one of the better GMs in the league. He should have gotten a chance to retool the team. I feel like Mario is making a shocking change for the sake of making a shocking change here. In the end, it could work, but firing Shero seems a bit too extreme.

My understanding is that the issue they have with Shero is that there were a few big moves on the table that Shero didn't want to make because of prospects other teams wanted, and this was more of a build up of a few years.

After the Penguins were eliminated, I brought up the possibility of the Penguins trading one of their two superstars. I think if there were ever a time that Pittsburgh could talk their fans into trading Sidney Crosby, this is it. The franchise hasn't won a Stanley Cup in five seasons, they've been ushered out of the playoffs in consecutive years after dismal performances against the Bruins and Rangers, and Crosby pulled a vanishing act in both series.
For example, I think if Pittsburgh calls Montreal and offers Crosby for Max Pacioretty, Zachary Fucale, and first-round picks in 2014 and 2015, I think that would be the kind of deal that would sate both teams.

They won't give up Crosby because he's one of the best in the regular season. They won't give up Malkin because he's one of the best in the postseason. If the Pens were to be giving up someone big, it'd be either Neal or Kunitz first before Crosby or Malkin.

The only way the Pens ship Crosby is if they get a BIG return.
Max Pacioretty is not enough to justify that.
They would need prominent first/2nd liners or a top-tier defenseman/goalie and multiple picks.
You don't trade Crosby for 10 cents off the dollar.

I am really surprised they haven't fired Bylsma. The Pens quit on him just like Team USA did.

Kings tack on a 2nd early goal. Ducks need to wake up to have a chance at Chicago.

And the Kings clean up a rebound, and it's 3-0 Kings in the 1st period.
