Who exactly was Edmonton's owner from 1997-2006? Edmonton Investors Group. A group of like 20 something investors that came in the final hour thanks to Bettman from Pockington selling it to Bud Adams to relocate to Houston. One of the biggest investors was Todd McFarlane the creator of spawn and made that awesome badass 3rd jersey gear logo

Who exactly was Edmonton's owner from 1997-2006? A giant ownership conglomerate of like 30+ people.

Trotz deserves some consideration for coach of the year. He's done a helluva job with the Caps, who are 1 point away from a 100 point season in about 4 years.

Problem with the Caps is that they seem to trip all over themselves in the playoffs. Fair or not, Ovechkin is slowly inching towards Joe Thornton status.

Yeah we'll see what happens this year, I've only watched a few games but it seems like it's a very different team than year's past. Hopefully they can at least get to the conference semi's this year.

The last few years was Ovechkin literally carrying the team on his back. Like dude scored something like 40% of the teams even strength goals last season. This year everyone seems to be playing better, Holtby is playing like a great goaltender rather then a mediocre one who only shows up in the playoffs, and players like Mike Green are rejuvenated again. I think Washington can do so some serious damage in the playoffs his year.
Joe Thornton has been playing in one of the most amazing stacked teams over the years and played with guys like Marleau, Pavelski, Heatley, Couture, Burns, Ryan Clowe, Dan Boyle, Michalek, Rob Blake, Ehrhoff, Brian Campbell, Vlasic, and one of the best goalies of Nabokov and Niemi and still couldn't get shit done.
Then again thats more of the Sharks being choke artists then Just Joe.

I just came to the realization that Pittsburgh Penguins don't have a 1st round pick this year. Oh God I hope they don't make the playoffs and Bettman forgets about Pittsburgh not having a draft pick and they "win" the draft lottery.

The Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award was given out before tonights game. The fans made the right choice by voting Cam Talbot the winner.

Steps with the game-tying and game-winning goals. Now 1 point is all that's needed to get the best record in the East.
