Time to push the hell out of the Shield, because there are no other faces worth a damn.

I hope he makes a full recovery and takes as much time as needs. If he has to take three months off, let him take three months off and take the title off him. f*** that title, I don't want him to rush back before he's had enough time to heal and end up with even more issues.

Promote Zayn to the main roster. He's ready

He can take as much as time as he needs. The storyline plot device is meaningless in comparison to the man's long-term health.

Honestly, I'd have Lesnar take him out brutally and win a tournament to become the new Champ. It would set up a big Bryan/Brock Summerslam main event.

Time to push the hell out of the Shield, because there are no other faces worth a damn. Unless Sami Zayn is called up soon...

Yeah, time to let him relinquish it and give him the rest. Hopefully he takes the full three months and comes back healthy and good to go.

I'm hoping for a Cena/Cesaro title program.
Why?
Because!

I do think Bryan needs to "snap" when he comes back. He needs to state that he's sick and tired of being under-minded by the Authority and this was the last straw. He's been screwed by management, he's been screwed by refs, he's been screwed by monsters. This would be a great opportunity to make him a little more serious. Not so much smiling, not so much taunting, just going on a tear with anyone who decides to f*** with him. We don't need him to be this grateful Cena 2.0 character. He's earned all he's accomplished and with a more serious approach, he can be even more interesting. Oh, and no more Brie Bella. No more serious ass kickers, please. Bryan's upbeatness and easy going attitude is a huge reason as to why I'm more invested in him than I ever was with Punk. There was a period where it seemed like every other face and heel was doing that, and when Cena eventually became his current character it was like a breath of fresh air for me.

Pushing the Shield towards the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will just needlessly cause a rift between them. I didn't say push them towards the title. I mean it's time to push them as the biggest main-event attraction in the company. They need to headline every PPV in six-man action until Bryan is back.

You need all types, though. No, not every top face needs to be a serious ass-kicking machine. But at least ONE top face needs to be one. The Justice League would be pretty damned boring if Superman and Batman and Hal Jordan and Wonder Woman all had the same personality.

As far as Bryan, I've found him way more entertaining as a humble dork or when he was rapping with Kane than anything he ever did as the American Dragon. I think he strikes a good balance of fun and serious already.

Dork Bryan and Team Hell No Bryan are the epitome of midcard, and I say that as a huge Daniel Bryan fan. I think his beatdown on Triple H and subsequent promo the Monday before WrestleMania was the most main-event he's felt outside of matches. And you know, come to think of it, he doesn't really need to be a "badass". I just think they should model him after Bret Hart. Bret wasn't some grouchy badass, but he wasn't a humble dork either. He was calm and confident, and didn't take being pushed around by anyone. He believed he was the man and he said so while backing it up in the ring. That's the kind of character Bryan needs to be. He can't continue to be the top guy while doing the "aww, shucks" stuff during promos and angles. He just can't.

The one aw shucks thing he's done recently was the promo with Hogan, and any wrestling aficionado would feel humbled in his presence. But outside of that and not counting Total Divas, he's been taking his situations as seriously as I imagine most fans would be satisfied with. I don't see where he could turn up the seriousness and intensity without him becoming a dull ass American Wolves type.
