Obviously The Who song is the most famous in this category, but surely they're not the only band who've ever penned a song about their generation.
What are some other songs about generations that are out there, FAN?
I ask because I honestly don't know, but I'd love to find out; especially this generation.

There are probably better examples, but this was the one that popped in my head right away since I've been listening to The Police

If You're Going to San Francisco is about the Summer of Love in 1967, which was a really important event for the Baby Boomers. Same with Jimi Hendrix's national anthem at Woodstock.

Weezer's "Heart Songs" is about the music Rivers Cuomo basically grew up with.

Here's one my daughter's World History book has in it, when bringing up the subject of social uprising in the '60s:

Damn, I came in to post Dog Man Star! Great track though, for you unfamiliar with Suede (ignore their shoddiness since returning one and all) then - www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkSlV8nAuCs Also So Young always makes me think of a generation song too, I know the personal story behind it from Brett Anderson but as a token nod to drug culture being prevalent through more and more of youth in all regards this is pretty on the head. So Young www.youtube.com/watch?v=twoO3xYRsz0
