Loser Leaves/Retirement Match. I like when it feels like the result of the match has a real consequence.

1987 Had one of the best Hair vs. Hair Austin Idol vs. Jerry Lawler Lawler's Southern title on the line If Idol loses, he refunds the admission of all spectators in attendance. Also I loved it when Bill Dundees wife put her hair on the line in the 70's. Great feuds in Memphis.

Loser Leaves The Area, especially if it's between two guys that are cornerstones of that territory. (Lawler/Dundee is a prime example.)
Another couple I used to like, but have lost their luster: the cage match and the stipulation "if the champion gets DQed or counted out, he can lose the title". They just don't execute the DQ or count-out that often anymore for that to be a huge factor in a match. The cage is supposed to keep the fleeing heel from running off.
