This boards favorite wrestler's finisher was the jumping teabag Quake had the size to make it credible. Mojo does not. It's like trying to make a clothesline from someone like Evan Bourne work, dude just doesn't have the size for anyone to believe it could get a pin. There's a point where suspension of disbelief get's strained too much and it just breaks. Mojo might not be as big as Earthquake was, but wrestlers in general are smaller nowadays. Not only is Mojo smaller, but the guys taking the move are smaller as well.

The thing about it is, that America is better, lets tote a flag thing was always kind of stupid and xenophobic. It was nice to see the foreign heel just utterly murder someone for being all 'Merica. the way I see it, you want to get in my face about something, you never just had the heel bring his flag to the ring after all, I've got the right to give it back at you I think that's fair, no question. I just think it's awesome that when the heel is clearly the more dominant physical specimen, he dominated as he should. That's kinda rare.

There's a point where suspension of disbelief get's strained too much and it just breaks. well, I checked his weight. He's listed at 272, I though he'd be closer to 300, but that's still 30 pounds on guys who used the top rope version of the move, Jacques Rougeau and Matt Bourne Doesn't that tell you everything right there though? The fact people had to do it from the top rope purely so people would accept it? I have no doubt Jacque and Doink would have liked to save their knees if they thought they could get away with a Quake version. Quake had the size to make it credible. Mojo does not. To apply that logic to another move, the idea that Macho's elbow would hurt more the smaller a guy is seems... weird, especially when most of the force used in the move comes from gravity, being smaller doesn't lessen the force or lessen spread of the impact. The exact same amount of force is always applied. It's like would you rather a brick or a bowling ball be dropped on you? The brick clearly. The bowling ball would cave your chest in, the brick will just bruise you.

Macho's elbow would be more likely to break Barry Horowitz's rib than Yokozuna's because it's more likely to reach Barry's rib

Though I will say as a fat dude myself, the extra "padding" really doesn't work in the way you'd hope.

I think that's why I enjoyed it. 99% of the time in wrestling, you have a foreign heel come out extolling the virtues of their country and they'll get interrupted by someone going all 'MURICA, they'll punch each other for a bit, clothesline over the top, face celebrates whilst heel retreats up the ramp. But Rusev just booted him in the chops. I kept thinking to myself "Alright, now Mojo turns it around, standard fare USA chants, his music plays etc", but Rusev just kept destroying him! It was great!

Also, he's friends with Rob Gronkowski, so there's another strike against him.

What this segment missed was a fan like that famous one from that Sheamus-Jamie Noble beatdown.
"Kill him some more, Big Rus! MWAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
