Worst thing about this England game being stopped, it means we'll have to suffer more Adrian Chiles.

I'm not as well versed on soccer (futbol) as I need to be. Why's the USA considered such a longshot this time around?

I'm not as well versed on soccer (futbol) as I need to be. Why's the USA considered such a longshot this time around? Same reason they're a long shot most times. They're decent but nowhere near good enough to win it. They're also in a really difficult group and if they even get through to the second round it would be considered successful.

With all due respect to Honduras as they're not a bad team at all, England should be able to beat them, let alone when they're down to 10.

Michael Bradley is our best player by such a large amount. Has been our best player for years, but it's more evident now that Donovan is old, fat, and off of the team.

I'm not as well versed on soccer (futbol) as I need to be. Why's the USA considered such a longshot this time around? As long as association football is considered a game for kids to play instead of an actual sport in the collected consciousness of America, the US will never produce the depth of quality players they need to become a powerhouse in world football. There's definitely a case to be made that the overall attitude is changing, but I think it will still be another 15-20 years before we see a US football team be considered serious contenders for the World Cup.

The Qatar pick was something I never liked. Also, going back to something I mentioned, but if the World Cup is a disaster (just think how much worse it'll be if Brazil gets eliminated in group play), you think they might think about moving the Olympics back to London? Rio de Janiero's mayor said he's not going to bother stop-gapping the sewage into their bay. As for picks, I have Argentina, but I'll be rooting hard for the U.S. to get out of group play.

The USA should get the 2022 World Cup. Qatar shouldn't have even been in the bidding process because they cannot host it at the usual time. That alone should have disqualified them

That alone should have disqualified them I'd prefer Australia, the USA had one too recently for my liking. What are temperatures like through June/July in Australia? I can't believe the only other three countries in the 2022 bid all held a World Cup in the last 20 years.

In the coastal areas where all the main cities are it's like winter in California ... Gets cold, but it does not snow. For a lot of the players it will be like playing a regular league match.

I'm baffled how my friends think THAT England squad are going to do well this year. I'm baffled by that fact you are judging England based on a couple of basically meaningless friendlies. If that's the case, France will win the whole thing since they just smashed Jamaica 8-0 and Italy will do terribly since they drew 1-1 with Luxembourg.
