OK this is for Australian in the EST time zone (Melbourne, Sydney)
Friday Morning: Opening Ceremony: 4am Brazil v Croatia: 6am
For the rest of WC, well until the third round of group matches when they play matches at the same time:
Match 1: 2am Match 2: 5am Match 3: 8am
It's OK I don't need sleep.
Actually I don't if its showing for everyone, Twitter on a regular computer is showing match times in a side bar... You could check that I guess.

Does anyone know of a decent comedy podcast of the World Cup?
Last two World Cups had the Baddiel & Skinner ones, and last one there was a decent Australian one featuring the dude from The Chaser who did not appear on their TV shows... But they done seem to be doing casts this cup.

While the phrasing of his comments were insensitive, he was absolutely 100% correct on his original point; Liverpool refusing to play on the anniversary of Hillsborough is absurd, and believing him to be a scumbag for pointing this out is asinine.

Some news from Manaus www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27800681#TWEET1155005If you don't have motivation to click that link .. Basically it's says that the groundskeeper says the turf in Manaus stadium is in poor condition. Which is baffling.. The stadium is brand new, it's only gonna feature 4 matches (including matches featuring England and the U.S.A) ... And when I say four matches I mean ever. Once the WC is over that stadium is will be basically be large waste of space since Manaus don't have league team that can use it. And they can't get the f***ing playing turf right?

Let's not forget that particular stadium is so far in the middle of f***ing nowhere that they had to ship the building materials for it up the Amazon River to even reach the location it is at......

Hoping a player doesn't tear his hamstring playing on that turf.

Thank you for calling me asinine. Not sure what's so bad about refusing to play on the anniversary of Hillsborough. It's a pretty dark day for the club and even more considering the truth about the whole thing has finally come out. The club wants to be able to go to remembrance services on that day, especially Steven Gerrard who lost a family member in the tragedy and how can they do that if they're playing a game? I understand other clubs and fans might not understand why Liverpool fans are so sensitive about it and if people want to discuss that with them, that's fine. But to say "that shit gets on my tits" about it was not the way to go about it. He knew full well what he was saying and that it would cause controversy and hurt amongst some, yet still said it anyway. I'm not like some Liverpool fans who immediately start screaming at the tragedy whenever it's discussed and I'm fully aware that Liverpool fans are far from perfect (Heysel springs to mind). But as I said, he's entitled to his opinion that they should go ahead and play on that date but to say comments like that is disgusting. If the tragedy had happened to Arsenal fans, would he still have the same opinion? I don't know but I wouldn't criticise another club for not wanting to play that day. If say, Rangers refused to play on the anniversary of the Ibrox disaster then I'd understand, or if Bradford refused to play on the anniversary of the Valley Parade fire again I'd understand. But if I thought there's no reason why they shouldn't play, I wouldn't say it "gets on my tits".

Looking at some of the stadium pictures in Brazil, the CONCOCAF teams should feel at home.

But if I thought there's no reason why they shouldn't play, I wouldn't say it "gets on my tits". I didn't call you asinine, just your description of Alan Davies. The man questioned the club's refusal to play in a tactless was, not make a joke about the events of Hillsborough or the victims. That's neither disgusting or scumbaggish. While there's nothing ostensively wrong about Liverpool not playing on the 15th, the Hillsborough anniversary itself has become a bandwagon for people to jump on. There's no reason for the collective outrage over a comedian questioning why a club can't play a match 23 years removed from a tragic event. It's one thing for Steven Gerrard to not want to play due to being directly bereaved, but that doesn't excuse the rest of the squad who have no ties to anybody who died, and this applies to fans as well. People have to heal and move on from tragedies - United play on the anniversary of Munich, Bradford play on the anniversary of the Valley Parade disaster, New York City doesn't shut down on September 11th. Almost thirteen years on and the city collectively says "we will not be beaten, we will stand tall and proud" in the face of what happened. 25 years on an Liverpool is still saying "please feel sorry for us". Rather than help the bereaved heal and move on, the club is contributing to the culture of victimisation, which is why something that should provoke universal support regardless of team allegiance gets looked down upon and scoffed at. It's where the Self-Pity City moniker came from, after all. I'm sure nobody downplays the fact that the directly bereaved still suffer, and will as long as the actions of the South Yorkshire Police who participated in the cover-up go unpunished ( they are scumbags), but the touchy behaviour of people with no family ties to the dead whenever Hillsborough is mentioned isn't grief, it's being outraged for the sake of it.

Hillsborough is different to Valley Parade, Munich, Ibrox and other footballing disasters because it's unresolved, and none of the people affected were subject to the kind of smear campaign the Hillsborough families were. That's why the families have refused to roll over and go away, and they are perfectly right to do so. You can't heal and move on under such circumstances. The Hillsborough families are associated with victimisation because they HAVE been victimised, for decades, in an insidious and shocking smear campaign and cover up. The 15th of April is as much a reminder to the establishment and those like Alan Davies who clearly don't get it that they haven't gone away and haven't given up. That's more important to Liverpool Football Club than playing a football match every anniversary.

I already said him being a scumbag is not about him questioning the decision to play or not, it's making the comments he did in a manner which he knew damn well would be upsetting people. Had he argued his opinion like you did I wouldn't mind, but he didn't. He even admitted he had crossed the line with his comments. Plus, as someone else added. He bites tramps ears.

So I got some money on Croatia tonight. Rooting for the underdog is always fun and has much more profit potential.
f*** watching 3 hours of this shitty pre match ITV coverage though. its so cringe worthy

Or is it the fact we have three defensive players talking about Brazil a traditionally attacking team
