This year's a wash, though it's looking better than it was a few months ago. Calderon is a massive upgrade over Felton and Cleanthony Early was a solid draft pick (and just getting the pick alone was a great move by Phil Jackson). Next couple of years the Knicks could turn into a real contender with Stoudemire's and Bargnani's contracts off the books next year, and the increased salary cap the year after that.

Well at least Miami won't be falling as far as people thought. They won't be contenders, but to me they are at least a 5 Seed in the East.

Yeah, the Heat will be a playoff team. They still got Bosh and Wade, and Deng, Granger, and McRoberts are nice players. Napier also has a lot of potential to be a solid NBA player.
Just losing Lebron really, really sucks for them. But I don't think they're going to be a lottery pick team anytime soon.

Paul Pierce playing for the Wizards is a future entry into the "Players in Wrong Uniforms" thread.

@mikebresnahan
Lakers also ended up getting 2nd-round pick from HOU. So they got Lin, Rockets 1st-rounder next yr and Clips' 2nd-rounder (via HOU) next yr
Rockets get the rights to Sergei Lishouk

Or better yet, gave to the Lakers. They probably could have landed something worthwhile, but they instead just gave him away in a salary dump along with two draft picks, and ended up with the worst-case scenario consolation prize in the LeBron/Carmelo sweepstakes in Trevor Ariza.

Any word as to whether Houston resigned Parsons or if Dallas managed to snatch him up?

Any word as to whether Houston resigned Parsons or if Dallas managed to snatch him up? None yet, although I'd find it hilarious if Houston lost him though. They seem really hard up this offseason.

Considering they last the chance to sign Bosh I imagine they'll match the Dallas offer and keep him. I have to think they're pretty pissed seeing as Bosh more or less indicated he was signing with them.

Paul Pierce playing for the Wizards is a future entry into the "Players in Wrong Uniforms" thread. To be fair, the same could be said of any Wizards player. Those are some fuggo jerseys.

Probably, but I'm not really too confident that Houston's GMs really know what they're doing, whereas Dallas's has always been really competent.
