The Rockets are confident they can trade both Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin this offseason, according to sources close to Jonathan Feigen. They can, but are there a lot of takers for these contracts? Both of these are hugely backloaded contracts for players that probably aren't worth it. The contracts were both IIRC 3 year deals, and this is the year the backload headed to. So, best case scenario, it's not going to be a huge backload anymore, if not a valuable expiring contract chip for some team.

I can see the headlines already "LeBron can't take the heat."

@rachel__Nichols: Spurs official statement blames electrical failure for A/C problems at arena. Apparently we are on same power grid here as the Superdome.

Spurs win Game 1.
I have a feeling the Heat fans may be none too happy about the A/C problems. Oh well.

If there's any consolation for the Heat, it's that they lost Game 1 last year and were winning tonight when LeBron was in the game. Provided LeBron is healthy, they'll be fine

Honestly, I'm noticing a trend that the Heat always lose the first game in all their big series. lost it to the Pacers this year, The Spurs in last years finals, OKC in the finals before.

Lebron and the Heat were beat by...well, the heat ironically. Too much will be made though about the AC in the next few days, with Lebron's cramp getting a lot of attention. But the Spurs had to play in it too, and they went 14-16 in the fourth quarter. When San Antonio is on, their chemistry is off the charts insane. It's a real pleasure for team basketball fans to watch.
And I don't care what your team affiliation is, or if you feel the matchup is stale after two straight years, Spurs/Heat is by far the best finals matchup there is right now.

So it's that time of year again for LeBron to come down with some sort of cramp in the NBA Finals, eh?

The one series they have lost- Dallas, 2011- they won game 1! It was the game 2 4th quarter meltdown that screwed things up.

Not sure if this was posted or not. Horace Grant: "Jordan's Bulls would've beat Lebron's Heat"Well, in Lebron's defense, Jordan did have Scottie, Horace, Paxson, BJ Armstrong, and Bill Cartright in his first three-peat. Then after he saved the Looney Tunes from being enslaved, he had Scottie, Rodman, Harper, Kukoc, Kerr, Longley, and Wellington for his second three-peat. So those Bulls teams were pretty loaded. Plus Michael Jordan is God, after all.

I've been meaning to get to this, and your overall point was really what I wanted to address, this revisionist history that's going on, that the early 1990s Bulls teams are now considered this mythical collection of superstars. Outside of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, the pre-retirement Bulls SUCKED. I cannot emphasize that point enough. Players three through 12 on those squads were horrendous. The third and fourth best players on those teams were Horace Grant and B.J. Armstrong, two players who were career bench players or occasional fringe starters. The centers were stick-figure dunk targets like Bill Cartwright, Will Perdue and Stacey King. Michael Jordan is the best basketball player ever because he dragged that collection of scrubs, cast-offs, and overall riff-raff to three consecutive NBA championships. No other player in the world could have taken those Bulls teams to back-to-back-to-back rings. The talent Jordan had around him from 1996 through 1998 is different. There he was surrounded by players who actually could bring something to the table. But let's not pretend for one second that Grant, Armstrong, Cartwright, Perdue, King, Paxson, or anyone else on those early 90s Bulls team were any good.

I was just trying to give that 91-93 team a little more credit than they probably deserved. I didn't want to be the guy that came in and just say, "Jordan's God. End of Story. LOLZ." Not sure if this was posted or not. If you look back at the end of that game, Jordan jumped from half court, stretched his arm out when there should've been a foul called, and was able to slam it through without touching the rim. And they were down by one, and won by one. Technically, shouldn't that have been a three-point basket, and the Tunes Squad win by 2? And shouldn't Jordan have went to the line for "AND ONE!" to make it a three point win? Make no mistake, this guy sucked as a ref.

This game's end is why Lebron will never be considered the best to me right now or ever.
Kobe Bryant tears an Achilles tendon and is able to walk back to the bench. He limps, but he walks back.
Lebron James suffers cramps and he has to be freaking carried to the bench.
The End...
