I really hope that jagoff doesn't win America's Favorite. I voted Caleb, actually. What can I say, that big dumb lug won me over during the latter half of the game.

It'll probably be between Donny, Zach, and Frankie, with Nicole as an outside shot. Caleb was hilarious post-Amber though. I really can't see the point in signing up a bunch of email addresses to vote though. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I meant I don't see the point in me doing it. I know the Ariana fans and the BB fans with too much free time are certainly going to do it. One thing that gives me hope though is that Ariana campaigned to get Frankie on Team America and he ended up being at best the third choice after Joey and Donny. So maybe they're not as ravenous as Frankie would hope. Also, spoilers on noms, veto, and who is probably going to jury tomorrow: {Spoiler}Derrick nominated Beast Mode and Victoria. Cody won Veto, and it looks like BMC's 100% lock $500,000 win goes up in smoke tomorrow night.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little disappointed that we aren't going to get Caleb's final plea to the jury. Also, Caleb going means Derrick's winning hands down. BMC was the only one who may have considered not taking Derrick to final 2.

{Spoiler}Caleb did a great job of getting Frankie out but him winning HOH was a bad move in hindsight, b/c if Frankie had won, I think Derrick and Cody would have been put up, or even Victoria. Him not being able to play for HOH was crucial.
On another note, maybe it's just me and realize it's a game, but if I were in Cody's shoes, and I won HOH, I would try to evict Derrick. It would be the ultimate dick move, but it would arguably be the biggest move on Big Brother in years. It would be an easy $500K, there's no way Cody thinks he has a legit shot at winning the half million against Derrick.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I'm right there with you domrep. I'd be gunning so hard for Derrick. Screw the Hitmen, I want to win. He may be bitter, but Cody would have two things working on his side. Derrick wouldn't even have time to poison the jury. He'd walk out 15 minutes before the final vote. Secondly, who is going to vote for Victoria to win? I'd stab my best ally in the back, look the jury in the eyes, and dare them to vote for Victoria. They couldn't do it.

It sucks that it took until the last 3 weeks for the season to have anything resembling an interesting/fun series of episodes

{Spoiler}Caleb *might* be putting two and two together, but for the moment is looks like he's getting blindsided tonight.

Five or so weeks ago when he was being disgusting about Amber I would have been loving this. Since she left he become one of the most hilarious characters in a season that desperately needed characters. I legit feel bad that this is about to happen.

Cody just tossed some major shade on Derrick. That was a good move for him.

HoH part 1 spoiler {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Cody outlasts Derrick to win part one of the final HoH competition. Derrick was trying his hardest to get Cody to throw it to him.
It also seems Cody is fed up with Derrick pretending like he's this weak little non-threat. Derrick keeps saying that Victoria may beat Derrick in part 2, and it's gotten Cody really agitated.

Well, this is finally over with tonight.
Already seeing declarations of Derrick being the greatest player in BB history. I have issues with that.

Well, this is finally over with tonight. Already seeing declarations of Derrick being the greatest player in BB history. I have issues with that. You have to ask: Was Derrick really *that* great, or did he look better than he is because everyone else sucked so badly If all goes as we assume tonight then Big Brother will have crowned their own personalized version of Kim Spradlin from Survivor. You're going to have no in between for people. She's either the best Survivor player ever, or she's a good player who was carried through with one of the lowest IQ casts in history. Derrick to me is the same thing. Good player, maybe even great player, but it's impossible to argue he has faced a tough road with this cast. BB7, BB10, and BB14 featured really strong casts. Dan and Will were both well known when they returned for their second times playing. One made Final Four, the other got to the final vote again. If Derrick comes back again it isn't unfair to hold him to that same standard. Would he have the raw gameplay and charisma to pull that off again, or once everyone knows he's, for lack of a better term, a professional liar, would he even stand a chance? I also take issue with the idea that Derrick has played a perfect game. Winning isn't arguable, really. You win, you win. But he made a couple of decisions this season that could have cost him everything had things played out differently. When he chose to go after Hayden and Nicole instead of Zach and Frankie he said he did it because he knew Nicole was lying to him and trying to shade the other side. Except she was telling him the truth. Again, he made it all the way so it's a detail that will be lost in history forever. But that decision could have really blown up in his face if he didn't have this herd of sheep to play with. That fact that multiple people said in their preseason bios that they would rather lose and be liked by America than play the game to win and be hated tells me all I need to know about BB16.

That was along the idea of what I was getting at. Had there been at least another dominant person in the house, he would have been forced to come out of the shadows. I mean, how many times did we see this: Bomb Sqaud/Detonator/whatever member: "I'm thinking about putting ________ on the block" Derrick: "I wouldn't do that" Bomb Squad/detonator/whatever member: "Duhhh, ok! You're probably right, Derrick"

It wasn't the worst season. Right now I'd put 15, 12, 9, and 5 all below it. Maybe even 4 if I didn't have a weird soft spot for that season. But most likely I'm overreacting to a generally likable cast after last season's debacle, and am overrating it. Gameplay wise it was super weak, but at least I didn't hate myself for watching it. I'll probably need to put some time between me and this season before I can really rank it.
At the very least it gave us a couple of memorable characters I'd like to see again. I can't say that for say... any of the new players from season 13, for example.
I've been watching all the previous season premieres to see how people were first depicted as opposed to how they turned out. It's still rough to see the quick collapse of Brian from 10. On that same note, Dan and Memphis did a hell of a job getting to the end considering Jerry wanted to nominate each of them week 1.

Great player, to me, means that they can go back into the house and have a legitimate shot at winning the money again. Derrick can't be in All-Stars because they will immediately call him on his bullshit. Dan...I rank up there w/Will. He managed to win it in his season and place 2nd the second time around even though everyone around him knew what kind of player he was. I think Derrick did a great job at not showing much emotion, playing every side, picking people's brains and using that to his advantage. It's one of those situations where no one knew how good he was playing until they sat in the chair next to Julie and realized "oh shit, I'm here b/c of Derrick." So I think Derrick was good, not being put up on the block once was uncanny, even better since 90% of the season you had 4 people being put up and he never got on there. He was a good player, but not the best in BB history.
