I'm fairly sure we had a guardians of the galaxy thread ... but anyway this new trailer is really good even more hyped for this film now.

Still not sure about Drax's design. The movie looks great though.

I never see movies at the theater anymore but somehow, someway I'm making time to see this on the big screen. Looks like such a fun, awesome movie. Seems like the got the tone of the comics just right.

This needs to be the main marketing trailer. That was a damn good trailer.

I am psyched to see this one. This makes the third trailer I have seen (in addition to the character intro shorts they released at the same time as the first trailer). The last time a set of trailers intrigued me this much, the film was The Dark Knight.

This needs to be the main marketing trailer. That was a damn good trailer. I'm surprised that this is the main marketing trailer for the international friendlies and not a global one. I would be perfectly good with this being the final trailer for us US'ers.

This is a great trailer.
All the action, some story, the main characters shown and some comedy, but thankfully, gone is the dumb-ass comedy music.
Only negative I could see was the Quill/Gamora romance. Not needed IMO. Black Widow has done fine without being defined by a romance, Gamora, who is meant to be the 'deadliest woman in the Galaxy' sure as heck shouldn't need to be.
Oh, and I still dislike Quill's 'costume' just being a red leather jacket, because now that's crossed over to the comics and it just looks stupid when put against other actually costumed people, especially as a substitute for an actual spacesuit or uniform.

Yeah, this absolutely should have been the global trailer. It puts to rest a lot of fears about GOTG just being a silly movie with a talking raccoon. Got my fingers crossed that worth of mouth and marketing will get GOTG over the 163 million mark because right now, I'm nervous.

I really dislike this trailer as opposed to the other ones. This trailer makes it look like a pretty generic action movie, for the most part. It's also a touch pretentious. I thought the more light-hearted trailers did a better job of selling it.

It's a Marvel property, the last film of the Phase 2 that leads to Age of Ultron, along with a talking raccoon with a gun, hence it'll do just fine in my opinion.

I found the gimmicky music and stupid comedy stuff (the a-holes line) more pretentious than this one

It's gonna end up surprising a lot of people with how well it does. (Plus, I'm expecting them to stick an Age of Ultron teaser trailer for post-credits fun, kinda like how the first Captain America film had the Avengers teaser at the end of its credits.)

Meanwhile another article is suggesting we might see something much more cosmic than just Thanos: Light spoilers here about what could be showing up in GotG: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}http://badassdigest.com/2014/06/23/james-gunn-hints-at-just-how-cosmic-guardians-of-the-galaxy-will-be/
If Eternity, Either Lord Chaos or Lord Order or in fact any cosmic entity made an appearence I would be beyond thrilled!

Even though it's Marvel's wild card, it's really going to be okay if it doesn't go gangbusters. If it does, then Marvel/Disney can prove they can really do anything if it's done right. If not, then as long as it's not a John Carter BOMB, then they'll be fine as... 1.) Captain America 2 is the highest grossing movie of the year worldwide at the moment, and will probably stick be either #2 or #3 once the year ends (because of Hunger Games: Mockingjay). 2.) Three words...AGE. OF. ULTRON. That will more than make up for any shortcomings. Oddly enough, the first Avengers saved Disney from hitting the red with John Carter, so... GotG will be just fine. == In other news, a new TV spot just hit. New footage and what appears to be a new song from Quill's "comp tape". It's AWESOME.
