I love the new trailer so so much. Easily best one yet, the soundtrack already gives the movie such a different character to the rest of the Marvel Universe.
I specifically like the part where Star Lord takes out his guns in front of the camera, cutting away at that second to remind the audience what movie's the studio has done in the past (something that was needed for such an unknown group of characters, compared to one's they have done up to now). Just as the Cherry Bomb chorus is on at the same time. It's so damn perfect in pacing.
I really really can't wait to see this. I hope it will be great and the characters have a future in other Marvel movies and team up/combination one's, hopefully with Avengers down the line for a superteam or something.

Meanwhile another article is suggesting we might see something much more cosmic than just Thanos: Light spoilers here about what could be showing up in GotG: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}http://badassdigest.com/2014/06/23/james-gunn-hints-at-just-how-cosmic-guardians-of-the-galaxy-will-be/
If Eternity, Either Lord Chaos or Lord Order or in fact any cosmic entity made an appearence I would be beyond thrilled! I wish Marvel could use Big G

Anyone happen to know who would have the rights to The Watcher(s)?Would love to see a giant baby head on the big screen. I would imagine Fox does, since he's part of the FF "family." And if they have Galactus (which I'm sure they still do) and still have Silver Surfer, then they must have him. And those 3 aren't really part of any other "family" of characters, so (unlike Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver, who are both X-Men and Avengers) I'm not sure there can be a good case made for Fox and Marvel sharing them.

He has surely been in Avengers, was a big part of early Kirby Thor and has been central to just about every Cosmic Marvel event ever. I'm sure Disney lawyers could make a play for him, and Surfer too, if Marvel really wanted.

Heck, Galactus, and the Surfer were in the Thanos Imperative along with the Guardians, Disney could always just use the Ultimate Version and say they aren't the Original ones so its fair Game. Even though Ultimate Galactus is a Giant Head

Even though Ultimate Galactus is a Giant Head I'd rather not have the Big G than have that stupid swarm, but still, I just want a proper Galactus on screen, not a cloud or a shadow or an energy thing but an actual Galactus. Only Marvel would have the balls, everyone else would try and dumb him down. Frankly, Fox would likely prefer the Ultimate version. Maybe Marvel should ask if they fancy swapsies....

To the shock of no one, GotG got the standard Marvel PG-13 rating for "intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for some language."

Is there a thing like mild sequences of sci-fi violence and action?

Yeah, literally the only negative thing my friend and I had about that preview was {Spoiler}Starlord flipping off the Novas. We both agreed that it being blurred out and covered by a sign saying "obscene gesture imminent" from the trailers was much funnier I also geeked out when one of the inmates in the prison was {Spoiler}Lloyd Kaufman of Troma Films

Marvel has apparently let some of the cameos for GOTG leak...... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Stan Lee is a Xandarian ladies' man, Nathan Fillion plays an inmate of some sort, the movie's director James Gunn plays a Sakaaran soldier (from PLANET HULK), Rob Zombie provides a voice, and.... .....and Cosmo is in the movie. COSMO!!!!!......and this one probably deserves its own thread, but I shall include it here too I guess: Comic creators Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik are listed together in the credits. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Their one creation together................IS HOWARD THE DUCK.

I can't wait for this. It's going to be the first time I get to experience seeing a comic I've been reading transition to the Big screen.
I haven't watched any of the trailers yet. I don't watch film trailers anymore.

Marvel's also hiding one of the post-credits tags until the movie's actually released next week.
