It's two days away and, for some odd reason, I'm trying not to buy the hype. I just don't want to be disappointed if the movie is not able to live up to expectations. That being said, two more days to a new Marvel. Exciting times.

Just saw it. BATISTA steals the movie. Yup. He's gonna get a lot of momentum in Hollywood with this one. Did your screening have a mid-credits and post-credits scene,or just one of those?I ask because I just saw one and was underwhelmed, though it had one cool thing in it.

I don't know if {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Baby Groot dancing to "I Want You Back" while Drax cleans his knife is considered mid-credits. Anyway, nothing groundbreaking on either. Just fun. That "one thing" sure was cool though.

I'm waiting to hear from a friend about seeing it this weekend. If she comes through, I'm waiting. If not, I'm considering taking some time off work to see a 10:45 PM screening locally. Just a question of cost and how crowded the screening will be. I doubt this is Star Wars, after all.

Maybe if Guardians does well, Fox will do a Starjammers movie.

Got back from seeing it today. Pretty damn good film. If you had told me that Batista would steal the show from a talking raccoon and a humanoid tree I would've never believed you, but he got more laughs from the cinema than anyone else. I was very impressed with the visual effects for this movie, especially with Rocket and Groot. I could've watched any scene where the Guardians argue amongst themselves for hours on end and I would never get bored. I guess that's the thing about this movie, it's so fun that there was never really a stand out moment aside from the prison break out and the final act and I say that in a good way. Everyone was on point and I loved everyone's characters. No complaints from me here about any of the characters. Admittedly he wasn't too developed but Ronan got more attention than I thought he would, which is better than Malekith in my estimation. I stayed around for the mid-credits and post-credits scenes. I loved them both, the first one for the funny visual and the second one because basically... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}HOWARD THE FREAKIN' DUCK!

Yeah, it was a fun movie, but I left the cinema feeling a bit....deflated.
I wanted something more and the film didn't quite give it to me.
Lots of cosmic background, but not enough cosmic.....scope? Explanation?
I dunno, I need to see it again

Soooo {Spoiler}{Spoiler}No sneak peak at Age of Ultron? Sadly no, but I saw someone online suggest that the post-credits scenes throughout Phase 2 are meant to be more personal because it's the calm before the storm of the war in Age of Ultron.
