I thought it would be fun to try to remember the first time certain high spots were used. For example, the first splash from the top of a ladder was performed by Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania X as far as I know.
I'm curious about the first use of thumbtacks (not just on WWE TV, that would be Mankind/Taker HIAC). When did we first see a ladder teeter-totter spot? What was the first table spot? I feel like this could go on for a while and be quite fun to discuss.

Snuka's cage spot had to be one of the first. If we're just going W/WWF/E, then Scorpio busting out a 450 had to be one of the first for the company.

Thumbtacks almost certainly originated in Japan.

I think this will get more of a response and be a bit more relevant in (Wrest).

I remember when Sid started using the powerbomb in the United States and the commentators were making up all kinds of weird names for it. While it's maybe not a high spot, the powerbomb seemingly kinda replaced the piledriver as the most deadly move that nobody kicks out of until a few years later when cruiserweights were kicking out of everything.

Lou Thesz invented the power bomb.

While not the first, one of the earliest table spots I'm aware of was Savage piledriving Ricky Morton on one in the Memphis territory.

Hogan and Harley Race had an early table spot. As did Macho Man and Bad News Brown. Hogan and Earthquake did a table spot at SummerSlam 90, which took place in Philadelphia. This is why I always liked to claim that Hulk Hogan created ECW.

Savage piledriving Morton? That was around '83 or '84. Oh, and on other "Savage did it first" lists, here's one of the earliest promotion invasions, courtesy of Mr. Poffo:

First recognized moonsault was done by Chavo Guerrero Sr. Lanny Poffo did a kick flip version in WWF which he barely got to use since he was a canvasback.

Wasn't Billy Kidman the first guy to bring the Shooting Star Press to US TV or did someone else do it first in the states?
