I feel like this feud would work better with Ambrose in the heel role, Rollins seems more like a babyface with his high flying style.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought of Kintaro Oe when I read the title.

God, I hope he's not the Golden Boy. Last Golden Boy they had ended up as a referee.

I think that WWE has finally trained its audiences to get past the idea that high flyer = babyface. The Shield stayed heel regardless of Rollins' impressive spots, and Justin Gabriel really set the tone for using a move like the 450 as a villainous death finisher instead of an exciting high spot. As such, I think that spectacular offense is no longer exclusive to faces.

He might have been able to do it solely because of how much of a non-starter he was, actually. If he'd eventually gotten over as huge babyface, it might have counteracted the work he did to get the 450 over as a heel move.

The way Triple H was hyping him up reminded me of Vince's hype up of Elijah Burke and Drew McIntyre. In other words, I'm scared for his future. Somebody hold me. Keep your hands above the waist though. I think the difference with this is that besides Hunter being on the same show as his handpicked guy (Burke was on ECW and McIntyre was on Smackdown, Vince at that point wasn't gonna be behind their backs constantly like Hunter is for Rollins), it's that Hunter doesn't give up on things. He sticks with things and he damn sure doesn't give up on a guy. Another thing, for all the complaining that he'd just be Orton's lacky..at this point, Rollins is more important than Orton. Sure Orton's in the ladder match, but Triple H has been out there with Seth and talking him up more than Orton. He's got more vested interest in a guy who's younger and going somewhere than the guy who's probably losing to Big E Langston at Summerslam Unless they're hyping up a babyface turn for Orton? I hope that's not the case. We're more likely to see Seth re-join the Shield.

If Orton turns face, the only logical thing to do is to job him out to Seth, hard.

I mean I'm pretty sure Cena's winning at MITB then moves onto Cesaro at Battleground to set up for Cena vs Lesnar for the title, so that leaves Orton to put over Reigns at Battleground before Reigns move on to Hunter at Summerslam. And if Seth wins the briefcase, Orton's just kinda...there.
