Their attorneys coming after us wasn't proof enough? Or Paul Heyman using Photoshops from here? Burke calling us out in a WWE.com blog? The aforementioned Derrick Bateman stuff?
They know, hell, they probably have an account here like they do most other places.

That's my dream for FAN
For us to be an unpaid, uncredited, unofficial think tank for WWE.

I have no doubt that they have people keeping tabs on the bigger forums, it's pretty easy (and free) market research after all, but I have a hard time believing that the biggest wrestling company in the world is stealing our atrocious ideas. Most of the things that they've supposedly stolen are pretty obvious in retrospect.
If John Cena busts out a spinning toe hold in the MITB Ladder match we'll know for sure.

I mentioned in another thread a while back that one say I was trying to check out a customer account at my job-but found myself locked out by someone with the ID "YQH Batista." Dave knows about the photoshop threads and he is gonna get even with us all.

Too bad TNA doesn't. We would've had Gunner as champ and Dixie put through a table by now. Oh don't worry, they copied everything from NoDQ

I don't remember that Summerslam last year, he hyped the match online using fan made art and had one or two things from here. Cannot remember if I started a thread on it or just posted something in the social media thread that was active at the time. To be specific I remember one of a comic book cover with Punk as Wolverine vs. Brock as Hulk.

WWE's relationship with this board (and internet wrestling fandom in general) is like the Enclave to the Wasteland in the Fallout series.
They know we're here, we know they're there, we don't interact very often, and when we do, it's negative. They look down on us, and we look down on them. But they'd have pretty much no reason to exist if we didn't exist, and we wouldn't exist (as internet wrestling fans as opposed to nuclear survivors from vaults) if they didn't exist.
It's funny that despite the symbiosis, it's so tenuous.

Kona Crush/Cranium Crunch. Awesome names for an awesome move done by a not so awesome wrestler. Now THERES a finisher that needs to be revived I'd enjoy seeing Khali doing it and calling it the Punjabi Power Squeeze ;D Made this throw away comment in a thread. Less than a month later between GAB 07 and SS guess what Khali starts using? Coincidence!? Most likely. WWE is a big ass company, to think that no employees of them follow any forums or online wrestling communities is ridiculous. Just by sheer odds of course there's going to be a few who follow this one in particular. *waves hi to Smith in accounting* Does that mean they're reading this forum specifically for ideas to use? Absolutely not. Stuff does trickle down though and inspirations can of course happen based on outside influence, but just because you have an obviously good idea doesn't mean someone else won't have the same obvious conclusion to their own problem. It happens.

MITB 2010 commercial I believe it was. WWE went to Proboards about it being posted on here and we had to remove all non-WWE, WWE owned videos. Wasn't until a year or two ago we got the okay to link to them.

^Right.
It's a legal battle over fair use we probably could have won but that's not up to us. This forum isn't owned by Madison or myself but rather by ProBoards.
So what happens is while we have right to do what we want on here within reason they still get the final say on big policy, and a DMCA legal threat is a pretty big one.
We had the PB CEO personally talk to us in our staff section to inform us what was happening and he said he doesn't play with DMCA. They sent him one, it looked like it had legs, so he followed it. To avoid further issue from pissing off WWE or our board owner any further we made the rule.
This all rolls downhill so what he does, is what we do.
So now no WWE videos being embedded from non WWE approved sources here.
And yes this WAS over a crummy commercial. Ralphie's quote from A Christmas Story was the shout I made when we finally were able to track down the exact cause.
Believe me we like this result as little as you posters do.
