Mats Sundin, Vancouver Canuck Andres Galarraga, had an injury-plagued stint with the Cardinals.

Bill Simmons once wrote that he felt the Orlando Magic could have enticed Larry Bird and Magic Johnson to come out of retirement in 1993 to play one season with Shaquille O'Neal, Penny Hardaway, Nick Johnson, and Dennis Scott, to push the team over the top in the NBA's first post-Jordan year.
It obviously never happened, but Bird and Magic playing in those garish blue and black pinstriped early '90s Orlando uniforms would have been the all-time winner of "that guy doesn't look right in that uniform."

Big Papi (with a different name) with the Twins Mark "The Bird" Fidrych with the Pawtucket Red Sox(attempting a comeback) battled Dave Rigetti of the Columbus Clippers (demoted by the Yankees) on July 1, 1982 at McCoy Stadium. The game remains part of the local folklore.

Given how brutal the rivalry was between the Pirates and Reds in the 70s and early 80s, it's just wrong to see Dave Parker in a Reds uniform.

Most of the pictures in this thread fall either into (a.) never knew that guy played for that team or (b.) I knew, but tried to forget because it felt so wrong.

Early in his career, Gary Sheffield was a 3rd baseman for the Brewers. Brandon Phillips originally broke into the league as a Cleveland Indian. Rick Sutcliffe had a great career as a pitcher, but few remember his days as a Cardinal late in his career. Eddie George spent much of his career wearing the uniform of the guy trying to tackle him in this picture.

If you change teams, you should have to change your name TNA-style.
"What's Dante Culpeeper doing on the Dolphins? "

Kruk hated playing for the sox's so much he retired I read that after getting his final hit, he retired on the spot so that his average could remain at over .300

Kruk hated playing for the sox's so much he retired I read that after getting his final hit, he retired on the spot so that his average could remain at over .300 In an interview I remember seeing of him he wanted to get a hit then retire. I remember he said that he hoped he got a hit his first at bat because he "just wanted to get the hell out of there"

When the f*** did Jerry Rice play for the Broncos?! Damn, I am a Broncos fan and I don't even remember this. Had to look it up and it seems he went to camp with us in 05 but retired after Shanahan told him he at best be 4th on the depth chart.

When the f*** did Jerry Rice play for the Broncos?! I don't think he ever did. Before he decided to retire, he was going to play a season for the Broncos. However, he would have had to be at the bottom of the depth chart. Jerry took this as a sign to just go ahead and retire.
