serious question: How in the world does one "forget" to pay for something and walk out with it at Wal-Mart? You either have a cart, a handbasket, or your hands and when you get to the register you empty said carrying device on the counter. What kind of dumbass puts something in their purse or pocket if they're not going to steal it? I won't be surprised if she gets canned(just because the Budget Cutter isn't f*** around lately), nor will I be surprised if she just gets an even worse gimmick to "teach her a lesson" I once almost got into trouble because I went to pick up a garbage bin, and I thought that was all I wanted, and then I grabbed a few bags of chips and just dumped them in there. Continued shopping, got a cart, and when checkout came, they opened the bin and saw the bags in there. They asked why, I told them the story, and all was well. It did help that I had a few hundred dollars worth of stuff, so 3 bags of chips for 5$ wasn't much of an issue at that point.

You either have a cart, a handbasket, or your hands and when you get to the register you empty said carrying device on the counter. What kind of dumbass puts something in their purse or pocket if they're not going to steal it? Virtually nobody. From my retail experience, accidental shoplifting does happen and it happens quite often, but in certain cases. The primary one being when somebody puts something on the bottom of the cart, like a case of water, dog food, or something else kind of large and awkward. The customer will forget to show it to the cashier, the cashier will be too busy/lazy/whatever to check to see if the customer has something on the bottom of the cart, and the customer will walk out and not even think about it after the fact. A sizeable number will, once they check their receipts, come back in near tears swearing that they'll pay for it. It's no problem for them to pay for it after the fact either, at least at my store, but most of the time management would just tell them not to worry about it if it was a low value item. Accidentally putting it in your purse, hiding it in your jacket/pants pocket, and forgetting about it? That's kind of odd. Even if it's a legitimate accident, it certainly doesn't look like it. Granted, we don't know exactly what Emma did, but judging from the size of the item she must have concealed it in some fashion. The only misunderstanding I can think of that would make some sense is something that I saw a decent bit. People almost always destroy packaging (Grr!) and try things like Ipod/IPhone/whatever cases on before they buy them. Let's say she tried it on, loved it, and intended to buy it. Then she forgot to take it off of her ipod, did more shopping, and was in such a rush that she forgot that she even had it in the first place. If Loss Prevention is watching her on the cameras, it'd look like she did it with premeditation and used a larger purchase to cover up a smaller theft, which people do quite often. It'd be an accident on her part, but something that'd look pretty bad. So it's possible, but unlikely.

I don't know if she'll get fired over this. But if she does, it won't anywhere near as bad as the booting she'd get if this happened back down under.

For real though, this is weird as hell. Either she really is a klepto or she was drunk or something. Even I can afford a Walmart phone case. Occasionally, you see a story of a major celebrity getting picked up for shoplifting. Sometimes, people just do it for the lolz. Really dumb move on her part, obviously. I'm not sure if she gets canned for this though. Cameron didn't get fired after a DUI and attempting to bribe an officer, so there may be hope for her.

Wow... what an utter moron.
Why throw your career away for the price of an IPod case?

Credit to her for keeping the Aussie/convict stereotype alive and well.

Punishments for random crimes in WWE seem to run from "Don't worry about it" to "you're fired" based on...nothing that I see. Severity seems to play no real factor for non felonies.
I think they just flip a coin or something.

I will be really bummed if she's released, but if this story is true then she showed terrible judgment. This is supposed to be her dream and shoplifting is such a stupid thing for her to be doing. Believe it or not, employers in many fields consider a crime like shoplifting to worse than DUI/DWI.

She has no one to blame but her self. What a stupid thing to do. She is supposed to be a role model and she's stealing shit from WAL-MART?

They'll punish her by putting her with Santino in meaningless matches and angles.

Shes most likely canned. Doing it elsewhere might have gotten a slap on the wrist, but in the company's backyard...

Believe it or not, employers in many fields consider a crime like shoplifting to worse than DUI/DWI. What retarded employer would think that? Any retail employer. One means you have bad judgment(putting it lightly), the other means that you're going to steal from them.

Well, now like all other former divas she can take to taking scantily clad pictures on instagram. Not a total loss

It does happen. Usually its something small that gets stuck under something else like my coat or purse. And I have stuck small things in in my purse so it doesn't get lost
