Happy America day.
Enjoy the 3 day weekend.
Also your super mega illegal fireworks you have to have a license for are just regular fireworks that anyone over 18 can buy here in the UK.
And the fireworks that anyone in America can buy in a shop are pitiful.
I must admit though I enjoyed the 4th of July when I was over there for it a few years ago. Sitting in the yard drunk watching fireworks in that blistering hot humid july weather under the wierd summer dark blueish night sky with a BBQ on is such a different vibe to our fireworks night which involves standing in a completely pitch black freezing rugby field in November burning an effigy of some guy who tried to blow up the houses of parliament centuries ago whilst the fireworks go off

Since it's rainy here, I will spend the night watching movies and Twilight Zone episodes. I will also still think it's Saturday, since my boss gave me today off for working every other holiday were open for.

Not to he all anti-patriotic, but something g I've noticed is that everything depiction of that fatefull day that the continental congress declared the voter for independence stood always portrays them sitting around in a tense silence, letting the weight of what has just taken place sink in. Am I the only one who can't help but wonder, what if durning that tense silence-someone farted? Dammit, Jefferson!

So far I've celebrating the fourth by not sleeping at all last night or today. Actually that really has nothing to do with the holiday, I just didn't feel like sleeping at all. I was up all night on the internet and I really didn't feel like going to sleep when morning came, so I just watched lots of TV and stayed online.
Not that any of you guys needed to know any of that, but I'm in the sharing mood.

Happy We And France Whooped King George's Ass Day! Anything to be dicks to England. *Emotionally offers handshake* Sorry about not supporting your revolution in return by the way. I'll just put it to we somehow received prophecies of blood flowing the streets under Robespierre.

Have a nice day That's what the (Observed) on calendars is for. You get Friday off when a holiday's on a Saturday, Monday when it's on a Sunday. Unless you work for a real crummy company.

So we celebrated our Independence Day yesterday... What do we do today? Well, we put out all the fires we started and get our insurance agents to assess how bad the damage is to our neighbors garage.

He said stop pointing fireworks at my garage, I told him to move his garage out of the way. He did nothing, so he had it coming.

Anything to be dicks to England. *Emotionally offers handshake* Sorry about not supporting your revolution in return by the way. I'll just put it to we somehow received prophecies of blood flowing the streets under Robespierre. Heh, to be fair, at this point it wasn't like the US could have done much even if they wanted to, they had their own issues to deal with and at the time, it was a rather weak country economically and militarily speaking, what with only being independent for 13 years and all. On top of that, France on the other hand was considered the World's powerhouse. Besides, unlike the colonies, we weren't rebelling against a foreign occupation force but against our own system so I'm not sure if foreign intervention would have been appropriate.
