Well, if the preview is any indication it will be an hour and a half (or however long) of Bret Hart explaining why he is/was/always will be better than everyone else...especially Ric Flair...

Eh, I didn't really get that from it. He and Flair don't like each other. There have been plenty of disparaging comments from both sides. I'm not a mark for either one of these guys, but if it were the word of one against the other, I would probably have more confidence in Bret.

While Bret can be arrogant, what he said is kind of true. If you watch Wrestlemania VIII, it is clear when Flair blades while it is much harder to tell when Bret does. Flair should have been more careful. I am looking forward to this as I enjoy listening to Bret talk about the business. I don't always agree with him at times, but he always has an opinion and does his best to back it up.

Flair was in a tricky position there anyway. Let's face it, Vince might have bought accidental hard way blood in one match, but given Flair's track record there's no chance Vince would buy it twice.
The all time greatest blade job ever however is Shawn Michaels at HIAC vs. Taker. The guy managed to somehow blade during the spot where UT launched him into the cage.

Just re-watched all 3 blade jobs. Hart's was good. Michaels did it before the spot. It was really good too. Flair obviously didnt care at all about the fine. Money management Ric Flair style!

He resisted, what I imagine his urge from seeing Celebrity Wife Swap, to buy a round for the house after the match.

HBK also did an excellent blade job in the main event of WM20, it took me a couple of viewings to realise how he did it.

Getting released tomorrow, can't remember the last time I was this excited for a release.
I just wish they wouldn't wait til the last minute to post the trailer even though they did throw us a crumb with the clip involving his WrestleMania match.

"And here were these bodybuilders... and who likes bodybuilders? Talk about zeroes in life." - about 1:44 in. Made me laugh so hard, because, honestly, it's kind of true.

I really hope there's no mention of Montreal when Shawn Michaels gets brought up.

Rats.
I love the Timeline format, and I've really enjoyed the double disc releases, but the single discs are usually edited with such abrupt cutoffs, especially the closer they get to the end of the year, that I find them often more frustrating than I'd like to.

In a way I thought the same as I was spoiled by my first timelines, Kevin Nash 1995/Jim Cornette 1997, thinking single disc releases wouldn't be as informative. Watching Sean Waltman's 1994 Timeline, which happens to be the same length as Bret's, didn't seem short in length and was just as informative as '95 and '97. They pointed out that the raw footage length was 2 hours, 20 minutes so shaving just 5 minutes off is pretty good.

Yeah I just saw it, its 2 hours 15 minutes. The thing I don't like about these is they are SO long that I can't remember half of what was said in them, its like I need to watch them 10 times to get everything.
I like that he didn't bury Warrior like he used to do. He said when it was Warrior's turn to carry the company, he did the best job he could and did a decent job. Its funny because in his WWE documentary dvd, he talked about how he didn't think Warrior deserved it, and right before Warrior died, he was doing a speaking engagement and talked tons of shit about him.
He was even nice to Hogan. He talked about how there are 3 criteria he rates a wrestler on: Look, Ring Work, Promos. He said guys like Hogan and Warrior are 10 out of 10 on Look and Promos but a 1 or 2 on ring work, so overall they are still considered great wrestlers

Yeah Warriors death saw more over night 180 opinions than any wrestler not named Benoit.

He went in pretty hard on Flair as expected, in addition to the bodybuilders. One big target is George Steele, who Bret did not think of highly at all as an agent. He also got a dig in at Bruce Prichard, especially after the recent Guest Booker where Prichard discussed the Montreal Screwjob.
