Yeah I hated a lot about this movie but especially that ending. Someone on here stated that Alfred should've been royally pissed during that ending. Always saw that ending as something Batman wouldn't do

Planet Of The Apes (Burton) Funny thing is he doesn't get the ending either "What? The movie's over and Johnny Depp was not in it?"

Always saw that ending as something Batman wouldn't do Now that the curtain has been pulled back, let me say that the underlying idea of Bruce Wayne eventually wanting to give up being Batman in the trilogy is something Batman in the comics wouldn't do.

The Wages of Fear. I get what Clouzot was going for but it was so abrupt and jarring. William Friedkin handled it much better in his remake, Sorcerer. I loved watching that movie but I haven't seen it in six, maybe seven years. What was the ending again?

American Psycho. Didn't know what was going on the whole movie, then it ended without resolving anything. WTF. Actually, it resolved everything. The conversation Patrick has with James Remar's character tells the audience that absolutely nothing Bateman did actually happened. The resolution was that Patrick Bateman was a delusional.

While I think the Nolan/Bale version was the best of the Bat-movies that is a certainly a shortcoming. Batman is just too driven to quit.

Fright Night (1985) is one of my mom's favorite movies ever! I enjoyed it so much that I saw it twice with my mom and brother. But, the climax to the movie was full of overkill. Jerry's death was so over-the-top, I couldn't help but laugh.

i never actually read the graphic novel it was based on but Mama Mia had one of the greatest and craziest ending ever! i mean who knew the cops were the real bad guys and that CGI Elephant Jonny Deep played was amazing. Cudos to George Lucas on that one.

Another Day In Paradise.
It doesn't end, so much as stops. Good song for the end credits, though.

Pirates Of The Carribean At Worlds End.
Jack Sparrow should have been the one to stay and captain The Dutchman so he could be a truly feared pirate for all time. Will could then have stayed on land to raise his child.
Oh, and how could I forget Episode 3: Noooooooooo!

Oh, and how could I forget Episode 3: Noooooooooo! I'd like to. Truth is, it wasn't a WTF to me, as I put up with so much stupid crap in the prequels it didn't surprise me. Plus I accidentally came about a review online.

What always confuses me about people's argument that "Batman wouldn't quit" with the Dark Knight Rises, especially from comic book fans, is one thing...
Dark. Knight. Returns.
Something Rises is clearly basing some of it's material on and something alot of Batman fans love, and consider one of the better Batman stories ever told.
In it, Bruce quit.
Did he eventually return to the cowl? Yes. But he did retire, and it felt very in character. Much like his retirement, both times, in Dark Knight Rises felt for me.
That said, could I see the Nolanverse Batman ever suiting back up like his comic book counterpart? Yeah, actually. Much like most of Nolan's main characters in his works, Bruce was obviously an obsessed man. I could very well see him eventually reach a tipping point again and throwing the suit back on.
And, given the state of him and the Nolanverse, I have to imagine it would end just as well for him as it did for the DKReturns Bruce.

Catching Fire ended abruptly I thought. That's pretty much how the book ended, though....>_>

Also in No Man's Land (another story Rises draws heavily upon) Bruce quits being Batman for a little while after Gotham was deemed NML. And when he returned he had to relearn everything about the city, since it had changed so much with the earthquake, kinda like Batman had to relearn about facing his fears in Rises.

Always saw that ending as something Batman wouldn't do It is more in character than Alfred abandoning Bruce, and more plausible than a stock trade being considered legal under the circumstances that occurred in that movie. I like Dark Knight Rises, but it has a lot of "Sure, that'd happen" moments.
