I was always a wwf mark because I was young and missed out on all this (came in around 99ish maybe 98). I do remember watching the first hour of Nitro then switching out when RAW started. How sad is it that I associated Hulk, Savage, Scott Hall, Diesel, and Lex as wCw guys. I had no idea they were wwf guys first. I felt a little silly but then i stopped giving a f*** hahaha.
Did anyone else go through that?

I enjoyed the show, but I hate the WWE making themselves out as innocent victims in some situations. Vince has done more underhanded shit than anyone in the wrestling business and WCW did not even get close to some of the stuff he did in the 1980's.

Madusa didn't defect....she was released. I think WWE always wants to forget that yes, they fired her while champion. So it was their own fault that this happened. She was Champ and they fired her while Champ. So being Champ she had the right to the title.

A great debut episode, can't wait for the series to actually start. I loved the point made by Vince, two live shows in the same genre actively competing against each other in prime time every week was a historical television phenomenon when you really think about it. Also looking forward to who else pops up in the interviews, maybe they can get Taker to talk, as he and Michaels are the two main guys that didn't jump ship from WWE during the wars.

Let's be honest, Madusa threw a completely worthless title into the garbage. It just made her look like an idiot Not really, what else are you going to do with something useless if not throw it in the trash?

It was okay I guess, but it's really disgusting to pretend that Vince is just some innocent victim here. Bischoff is a huge asshole, there is no doubt about that, but I hate ignoring the past just to make Vince seem like a super genius great man.

When you fire your champion because of budget cuts, your division serves no purpose

It was very well done, looking forward to episode two.
I have a problem with how Vince considers WCW stealing talent and giving away his results as "hurting him" while he stole talent and TOOK AWAY the television deals of many promotions, so they didn't even have results to give away, and that was "helping himself".
I guess, you help yourself unless that hurts Vince McMahon, if it hurts Vince McMahon, you're a bully, and that's it.

I thought it was funny that they really glossed over Black Saturday.

There weren't many surprises in this first episode but the insight that some of the players from that Era provided were great. And... Stu Saks!
Only thing that could've been better is if Savage was still around to talk about it.

When you fire your champion because of budget cuts, your division serves no purpose So why did Vince go crazy over this then? Worst than this, the fact that he thought Bret would go to WCW and throw away the WWF title was crazy. Even if WCW absolutly hated the WWF and even if Bret would have brought a WWF title to WCW, the Title was too worthwhile to throw in the trash. I just can't see it happening.

I remember my family going nuts when Flair came to the WWF and I had no clue who he was.
